We have one dog! We want to add another dog to our family when our LOs are a little older.

Technically, we have two. One dog lives with us and one lives with my family in GA. The dog that lives with us is....less than intelligent. =/

One dog. I'd love another but our dog is pretty high maintenance. He has separation anxiety so we have to take him with us alot and it's already hard work taking a dog and a baby with us everywhere we go, it'll be even harder when we hopefully have another baby, so two babies and two dogs would just be crazy..

Two cats. They entertain each other, so they are low maintenance.

two small dogs--i'm glad they have each other, makes me feel like they will be less thrown out of whack when the baby comes (or we'll just have 2 discombobulated dogs, which is more likely).

1 cat. I wish we had gotten 2 kittens at the same time; I think our cat would like having a little buddy around during the day but alas....she HATES other cats.

We have 2 small dogs, a chihuahua, Pedro and a pomeranian, Templeton.

@littlek: have we had this conversation yet?? We have the same dogs! We have a chihuahua (although he is a mix, we think maybe with papillon or some kind of terrier) and a pomeranian!

One very needy and onery dog. We considered getting her a friend, but we are scared it will end up being more work/hassle than a benefit to her!

We have a very lazy 100 lb. golden retriever mix and a crazy little kitten. The tiny kitty is more of a pain!

3, all cats. 3 cats is too many cats. We couldn't bear (DH couldn't bear) to give any of them away but once we're naturally down to 2 we'll stay at 2.

One dog! DH has been pushing for another for years, but I put my foot down! And now that I'm PG, I have even more reason to table the second dog discussion, haha.

We have 4 dogs and 4 cats. Plus we just took in a friends dog for the next year while he is in Afghanistan. Also have 6 chickens.
DH leaves for 1.5 yrs for Afghanistan soon and I get all that to handle myself with a new baby. No regrets. I love my furbabies. -

1 -- a 10-year-old rabbit! DD thinks he is very silly. She laughs at him all the time!

None! I would go crazy taking care of 2 kids and an animal

2 dogs. It's a lot to have four kids and two dogs but the kids live their dogs so I wouldn't have it any other way.
