just have my ears pierced. i think i had a 2nd ear hole pierced somewhere, but it may have closed? i can't even remember anymore. i wouldn't want my girl to get anything other than ears pierced. especially nose - really don't like those. i don't want my boy to have anything pierced.

i especially think the ones where the wholes are HUGE in the ear is nasty.

I have my ears and cartilage done. I had my belly button done but I took it out almost two years ago.

Just ears, but two holes in each. I had the first since before I can remember (my mom had it done when I was a baby), and I got the second in college.

I think I would be okay with LO getting piercings as long as she was open with me and they were tasteful. I've seen some piercings look really pretty in the right spots/on the right person.

I have 3 holes in each ear, though the third ones are now closed. I also have my nose pierced. It's such a small stud that many people don't even realize I have it.

I had three up each side on the lower ear. In cartilage, I had two on one side and one on the other. I also pierced my tongue and my belly button (twice). I let everything close up other than two holes in the lower ear on each side. I really only use the bottom holes, though.

ETA: I despise baby ear piercings. I think they're unfair because the baby has no choice. I will wait until my daughter is old enough to ask for them to get them done. If she's anything like me - she'll be around 8 or 9 then.

I just have my ears. I'd prefer for her only to have her ears too, but I don't think I care that much to put up a huge fight.

I have my ears pierced, and added several ear piercings throughout high school. I think I had 7 total in my ears. I just wear earrings in the first holes now, but I think the second holes are still there. The rest are gone.

I got my lip pierced when I was 17, but I didn't keep it very long.

I still have my belly button pierced but I don't like it any more.

Ears with 3 on right and 2 on left, only 1 (original) on each ear now. Original was done at age 8-9 and add-ons in college at 19/20.

Nose with a very tiny nose stud which almost no one notices for the past 11 years.

So yeah, I will be OK if LOs getting other piercings. For the ears, they can decide if they want any when they are older. For any other body parts, they can wait until they are 21

Oh man, I feel like a wild child here!! By the time I was 21, I had a total of 15 piercings - 5 in each ear and some hidden ones (eek!). I have since retired 5 of the ear piercings (rook and 4 cartilage) and still have 2 in each lobe and my tragus. I also still have all the hidden ones. I know at some point I'll need to "retire" those as well but I don't see a point in doing so before it's necessary? They've all been around so long that I'm just use to them at this point. No tattoos though

I have did my ears twice & my nose. If we have girls, they will need to be old enough to ask for their ears pierced and be responsible enough to care for them. I don't believe it is my place to alter a child's body without their consent.

Double ear piercing, cartilage, and an industrial. All are out except one set of on my ears. I'd be ok with my daughter getting piercings when she is old enough and responsible.

@LindsayInNYC: Me too! I had a wild spell when I was 18-19 .... I had multiple ears piercings, tongue (had until I graduated college), nose (only had for about a year), "chest" (only had for a year), and belly button.....

I only use my one ear piercings and still have my belly button.. but that will be retiring soon now that im preggo....

I really wouldn't mind the piercings... just as long as long as they aren't too wild... I hid my piercings for the most part....

3 in each ear, one in the cartilage... That's it though.

I got my ears pierced when I was 10 and could take care of them myself. I'd do the same for my LO someday.

DH also had one of his ears pierced, but he took it out after a while... not really his style anymore!

Two in each earlobe. I'll have a talk with my kids about it, but once they are 18 they can do whatever. I would allow ear piercings before then, but that is it.

I have students that can't get jobs easily because of piercings and tattoos, I don't have anything against them, it's just not my thing.

I had my ears pierced as an infant and once again in high school (or jr. high) and that didn't turn out right at all. One completely closed up and the other isn't aligned properly, yet I can feel them. The one I had as an infant is virtually invisible but is always there.

I only have one in each ear. I think for my kid, I'd be ok with more in the ears, anything else, I think they'll have to wait until they are adults (I just don't like the look of piercings in other places). The only one I'd fight over are those giant holes. They really do gross me out.
