How old is your LO?
How many times have they STTN?
Mine is almost 5 months, she has STTN most nights since she was 6 weeks old. (Makes me scared to test my insanely good luck by having another baby!!)

Never! We got a 4 1/2 hour stretch once, but that's about it. I'm currently debating whether to sleep train. She's 4.5 months.

LO is 16 months and she has STTN consistently since she was 8 weeks old. We had a few bad days after we moved and when she learned how to stand in the crib but she adjusted back quickly.
I'm afraid about Baby 2!

She's done six or more hours since we brought her home. Ten or more since seven weeks. And has been doing 12 straight since 12 weeks. I'm praying that she keeps it up through the four month regression.

Consistently since she was 8 weeks, but had a couple flukes in there starting at 5 weeks (and before that we woke her up for feedings.) Now at 6 months she sleeps 8-11 hours a night consistently (unless teething, then it's up every hour.)

mmm since around 3 months. 11 months now and haven't had a wake up yet!
i'm sure that is a huge reason why we began trying for #2 so soon.

never! She will be one in two weeks. The longest she has done is eight hours.
GOLD / papaya / 10206 posts
She is 13 months and started STTN at 6 months. She's missed one night when she was teething in the last 7.

DS has been STTN since he was a month old? DD STTN from 6 weeks-9 months, then her sleep was crap for about 9 months. She's back to STTN for the last 6 months.
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
if you consider STTN as - from when you put them down, to morning time, then never. she did some 6-8h stretches until she was 3.5 months, then I think the regression hit - or teething, or something - and she has been an every 1-3h since.

Once? He slept 7:15 p.m.-5:30 a.m. last night, but I wanted him to stay down until at least 6. Still, it was his longest stretch ever! He's 9 months.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
He's 5 months and has STTN 11/12 hours since 12 weeks, with a couple of random nights of wakeups during 4 mth regression and teething.
He STTN at 6+ hours at 6 wks.
@highwire: i also worry about future LOs and how i may be paying back for our good luck with our sleeper now!

He's been doing 8 hour stretches consistently since we sleep trained at 5.5 months. Before that the longest stretch he did was 4 hours. He's never slept longer than 8.
pomegranate / 3204 posts
12 months and has STTN maybe 4 times. We sleep trained at 11 months and his sleep greatly improved, but not to where he STTN consistently.
nectarine / 2994 posts
Lo is 7 months and she sttn usually at least once a week. She was an awesome sleeper until 4ish months when I moved her from the bassinet to the crib. I know she knows how to sttn but I think her wakings are out of habit.
grapefruit / 4278 posts
Never, and he's 11 months. He's still up two or three times a night. DH reminds me of this anytime I mention #2... Like the dark circles under my eyes weren't enough of a reminder.

Miss A is six months and can sleep between eight and ten hours a night on a reasonably consistent basis. She has slept right through the night (7pm-6am) half a dozen times but we're currently cutting four (!) teeth and working on lots of developmental stuff so her sleep has been a wee bit haphazard lately.
I'm ok with one or two night wakings at this point in time and not yet looking to sleep train.

@kiddosc: does your LO wake up & stay up? (Ideally) Mine wakes up 2-3 times but goes right back to sleep after nursing.
GOLD / pomelo / 5737 posts
8 hrs+ since 2.5 months, 10-12 hrs since about 4.5 months! Some wake ups especially for a paci but if its just sticking a paci in her mouth once I consider it sttn since she doesn't really wake up.

Once she was 8 weeks old, most every night...Until the 4 month sleep regression...DUN DUN DUNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!

@rattles: it gets .....well you get used to it. Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever wake up again and not feel like I've been punched in the face. >_<

Baby girl is 4 months and she started sleeping 10-12 hours at 10 weeks...starting two weeks ago, she started waking up again a few nights a week...probably a little 4 month regression...hopefully it goes back

Mine's 8.5 months and his longest stretch has been 8 hours I think? And less than half a dozen times. Usually he wakes up at least once, sometimes twice, and occasionally 3+ times a night. Most of the time I can nurse him right back to sleep, but sometimes he decides to make me crazy and stay awake for an hour or more.
pomegranate / 3604 posts
@FutureMrsMcK: YES. Those nights are the worst. He's just up and there ain't nothing you can do Bout it but wait. I die a little inside when that happens.
grapefruit / 4278 posts
@sera_87: Nearly all the time he will go right back to sleep if I nurse him. I know he doesn't need the food and I've tried to night wean, but when I have to be up to go to work at 5am its easier to nurse him so we can all go back to sleep.
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
@sera_87: I hate my sleeping husband just a little bit on those nights, lol. But he doesn't have to work until 2 tomorrow and said he'd do wake-ups tonight (with a bottle, or bringing DS to me if I'm getting engorged) so I can get some uninterrupted sleep. I honestly don't think I've slept longer than 5 hours at a time in over a year, and a 5 hour stretch of sleep feels like a luxury. Because I still need some ME time after he goes to sleep, and quality time with my husband who works dumbstupid hours, so I never go to bed as early as I should. I'm settling down to sleep and he's deciding to wake-up. Over, and over, and over. Sigh. Someday...

X is 17 months, and has slept though the night consistently since 15 months. He started to sleep through most nights for a while around 11 months, but then we hit the first set of molars, then a slew of illnesses and that disrupted his sleep for several months. Then around 15 months he settled into a wonderful pattern of sleeping 12 hours straight... and over the last week, he started getting the 2 year molars + going through a language explosion and growth spurt, and his sleep is horribly out of whack right now. I know he can sleep through the night, but gosh, it feels like that was ages ago at this point.

What are we considering STTN? 8 hours or 12 hours?
My LO has been sleeping 12 hours since 2 1/2 months, which a few exceptions. She's 21 months.
pineapple / 12234 posts
She STTN between 2-4 months and stopped. Then probably 8 nights since then she has slept from 7:30-5am.
nectarine / 2834 posts
DD is 6 months (today) and she has slept 11-12 hours about 4-5 times. Technically, she's been STTN most of the time since 5-6 weeks as she sleeps 7:30-4:30, 5 almost every night since then. She's still in that pattern and doesn't seem to show any signs of breaking it.
