Visiting friends and family doesn't count.
I've been there twice. Both ER visits. One for an allergic reaction and the other because I had leg pain and thought it was related to my BC.

I had one hospital stay and one ER visit, a few weeks apart, but the ER visit was related to the treatment during the hospital stay, complications of an at home IV.

Waaaay too many times to the ER.
Once as a kid.
As an adult? For Vertigo (couldn't stay standing). For super high fever (turned out to be meningitis--and an overnight hospital stay that I begged to go home from. They wanted to keep me for a week). For spinal headaches. For head trauma twice (from falling). For severe chest/abdomen pain (turned out to be nothing)...
Twice in the last 6 months. YUCK. And 7 in my life. Yikes. Well... sort of 6, the meningitis testing caused the spinal headaches, but I begged to go home. Then at my doctor's appt follow up she sent me right back to the ER.

A lot. I was really sick when I was a kid. I ended up having 3 major surgeries within a year and was in and out of the hospital in between too.

Way too many to count. I've been going to the ER since I was young for migraines. They give me a cocktail of meds that gets rid of them, or at least dims them, pretty quickly.
I've had 2 D&C's after a miscarriage. And then of course when I gave birth.

I've never stayed the night at the hospital. I used to use the ER a lot before walk-in clinics got more popular.

I've gone to the ER 4 times. 1st time for opening a car door into my face (OW), 2nd time for stomach pain, 3rd time for the stomach flu and the 4th time was for a bacterial infection. That last visit resulted in a 3 night stay in the hospital. Not too fun!

Just once, thank God! Never overnight. I broke my finger playing soccer. Oh, and I had my wisdom teeth taken out in a hospital, so I guess that counts too!

Twice, one when I was really little because I fell off of the top of the playground at the mall one time. And then a few years ago I got in a car accident and they made me get the tetanus shot for basically no reason, I wasn't even hurt.

not counting giving birth, twice. once passed out and had a seizure in the middle of a business meeting and woke up to find paramedics there.
another i had intense stomach pains and had to get iv fluids.

At least 7, I can't remember. Once when I was little and sledded right into a tree, once to have my tonsils removed, & once because I sliced my foot open. Twice in college because I had extreme back pain which lead to my another visit and a 10 day stay because the pain was a staph infection and then 6 months later when the infection came back.
Needless to say, hospitals aren't happy places for me which is why I'm choosing to have my baby at a birthing center.

Just when Cam was born.
I did stay overnight on the couch when my husband had an asthma attack, but I got to come and go (that was the strangest thing about my stay, not being able to leave!).

One ER trip, one same-day surgery (not elective), then having two happy and healthy births

I think that's it.

I went once for a high fever (105). I thought I was dying, but apparently I wasn't.

As an adult I've been to the ER twice, but never stayed overnight. LOs birth will be my first overnight stay!

I went to the ER once because I thought something was wrong with my kidney but I had just pulled a muscle. And I stayed overnight when I was a kid after getting my tonsils and adenoids removed.

Zero (knock on wood)... I've never been to the hospital nor have I taken any meds besides headache meds/bc pills. I'm highly considering a natural birth sans epidural... (def up to change my mind though LOL)

Outside of when I was a little kid, I’ve been to the ER twice, but never stayed overnight in the hospital. Once was a few years ago when I got a small infection on my leg which sent a red runner up my leg and I had to get IVs for that. Then they gave me antibiotics to take home which I was allergic to, and had an allergic reaction to, so I had a follow up trip from that visit (not to the ER though, just my doctor). Then last year I had this weird stomach bug where I got super, super sick and could not stop vomiting for an entire night and morning (no other symptoms of flu though), and they have to give me IVs for that and IV of Zofran. They ran tons and tons of tests, but never determined what it was.

Twice. I've been admitted once for a really bad car accident when I was 16, and the ER once for a four-wheeler accident and concussion.

I spent a few days in the hospital as a baby because they thought I had meningitis. Other than that, it's all been just ER visits. A broken wrist, stepped on a catfish (which is similar to stepping on a sting-ray), and probably a few childhood things that I can't remember, if I had to guess.

Ummm too many times. ER I think 2 times.
Surgery 3 times for my knee and 2 times for my stomach.
Then I have also had to go in for really bad infections I had that were actually pretty serious (Carrier of MRSA) Booo!

I've been to the ER twice for myself. Once for a dislocated shoulder (happened at basketball practice in high school) and another time when I passed out at a concert due to hypoglycemia. I banged my head on the floor on my way down and my boyfriend (now husband) insisted on taking me.
I also spent four weeks in the hospital for inpatient treatment of an eating disorder when I was 21. Plus 5 six week sessions of partial hospitalization (basically was in the hospital for treatment from 10am-7pm Mon-Fri)...these were spread out over a year or so.
I feel like I've definitely funded a wing of that hospital! Ha!

Lets see as a kid I went to the ER once for a concussion & once for a broken nose. As an adult, I've been 4-5 times, stomach issues, another concussion, & after a car accident. I've also been to outpatient surgery centers for knee surgeries.

4 times.
1. Croup as an infant
2. Four days at 37 weeks pregnant with a severe kidney infection.
3. When LO was born
4. At 5 weeks postpartum, to have my gallbladder removed (normally a day surgery procedure- not for me I was there 5 days- awful)

Piper mommy wow about the kidney infection did you know something was wrong?

Just when LO was born - was in the hospital for a total of 36 hours.

Once! I fell off a swing when I was 9 and broke both bones in my left forearm. They gave me general anesthesia to straighten my arm, then I stayed for 2 nights I think.
I'm hoping for a home birth (fingers crossed) I don't want to ruin my 13 year no-hospital-streak

@Nskillet: Yes, I had really bad chills, a fever of 101 and pain radiating in my right side. Hindsight it was probably complications of Kidney Infection and a gallbladder attack.
(I was also urinating a ton, but who doesn't when they're are pregnant?)
