Donate them to an animal shelter - they always need towels! (Alternatively, I'm sure any shelter would love towels, especially those helping people to get back on their feet and into their own place).

We probably have 10 large bath towels, the same for hand towels and probably 20 washcloths. Then about 10 baby washcloths for LO and 2 super duper soft bath towels for wrapping her up in post-bath. It's more than we really need for 2 people, but enough for guests and skipping laundry from time to time.

I think we have 12 bath towels! You should donate and make some hooded towels!

We have 8 towels, hand towels and washcloths for us in two colors. We have 4 towels, hand towels and washcloths for guests (we can sleep 3 guests).

We have a couple towels reserved for hair dying.

I think we have 10 towels, 4 hand towels and 4 wash cloths. We're loofa people. I use two towels per shower and DH uses one, I do laundry every week and a half ish.

I use a towel for 3-4 days and so do my thee family members (3 of us). We probably have 10 total.

We reuse ours a couple times. That's what towel hooks are for ! We own 8 bath towels for my husband and me. 4 for the babe- we don't reuse hers because sometimes she pees!

@anonysquire: I just don't have the energy to do that much laundry. Plus, I figure the towels are touching clean bodies, and if hey dry out well they smell fresh. We also shower on opposite days so the towels get a full day to dry out.

I change mine every week or so. I figure I'm clean when I use it, so I'm not that hung up on it.

oh wow, you guys have a lot more towels than we do! I think we got like 6 bath towels and 6 hand towels from our wedding registry, plus some wash cloths that we don't really use since we use loofas. on top of that, we have some bath towels from before our wedding we use, and ratty ones we use for our dogs. so maybe 15 altogether but we only cycle through a small number of them--some of the ones from our wedding 3 years ago are still in their packages! I'm planning on paring down the ratty and older ones soon (aka before baby since we need to clear more space!), I think we could get by with just the 6 for us plus maybe 4 for the dogs (plus baby towels, of course...)

@anonysquire: I use mine for 3-4 days. I never reused towels when I was growing up...my mom had a huge collection.
