I feel I should admit that I barter for my photos, I did custom nursery art in exchange for Wonder Baby's shoot. Not an option for most people, so I didn't want to advertise it as a great option

$175 with disc and rights to all photos. She is taking both newborn and family pics.

We paid $800, which included a $300 session fee (discounted from $400 bc we were referred), $100 print minimum (required), and then $400 for a cd of all the images. It was really hard to find a photographer who would provide all the digital images at a reasonable price.
Does anyone know why professional photographers are so reluctant to sell digital images???

$750 total. Includes maternity and newborn sessions and a disc with all edited images (hundreds of photos) with a print release so we can get prints made anywhere/post on Fb/etc.

I bought a package for $400 for a newborn shoot and a maternity shoot. I didn't buy the CD so we'll be buying the photos seperately. My wedding CD that I was so excited about has been stuck in my CD drive on my Mac for 8 months now and this hasn't bothered me so I figured I didn't really need the CDs?

$250/350 for weekday/weekend session (don't know which it will be yet 'cus butterbean is still baking), and then a $500 minimum print order. So $750-850 minimum. I have no idea (yet!) how much it will cost for the cd.

$150 for 1-2 hour session with CD of 25 high res images and rights. Got lucky and found an up and coming photog but I expect her rates will go up in the future.

In my area it seems like photographers are pricing out at about $200-400 for the shoot, and many have $300+ order minimums, so you're looking at spending $500-700. Many won't include digital files until you reach a spending threshold of $500-700+ on prints... yikes!

My photographer is charging $400 for the shoot and includes 7 digital files and prints. Additional files and prints seem reasonable at $25 each.

$500.... That was the cheapest in the area for maternity and newborn pictures and to include a CD of the images (and not just a print package).

We paid $775 for our belly and baby package that included: 2 photoshoots, DVDs from both shoots and 75 birth announcements or an 11x14 canvas. We looooved all of our pics!

Our photographer had a $250 sitting fee with a $500 print minimum. A cd of high-rez images was $650, however if you purchased her one-year plan where you go every three months the images were only $300 and at the end of the year you get an album with pictures from all 5 sessions. That is what we opted for so the newborn session cost us $550.

$200 session fee $1000 for 10 digital images and 10 4x6s. I also got $400 credit toward products like more prints or a canvas. She's actually one of the cheapest I could find in my area!

@Shanchris28: i think the ladies did their research and everyone can find a photographer in a price point that they are comfortable with. as a photographer myself, it's not all about price, but style as well.

Okay, I just started really looking into this and I'm in shock! Although the photographers in my area advertise the sitting fee at $200, $300 print minimum so a total of $500. I want all the digital images, and that is $800!! Yikes!

I'm going to go with my friend that did my maternity photos, $375 for everything...
