At library story hour you can sign up for a reading program for your LO and for you. They want you to read 20 minutes a day, and if you read a certain amount then you get a price each week. I don't really read anymore except for magazines. But it counts if I read to LO so I still get my prize

I don't read everyday but I read some of the days out of the week and each day I do read I read 30-50 pages...sometimes up to 80 pages at a time. Not sure how long that is though.

My toddler has just started playing more on her own and letting me hang out and read some during the day. It's been amazing. I've been devouring books. I usually read to her for 15 minutes on a busy day, maybe an hour on a lazy at home day.

I used to be able to finish at least 150 -300 pages a day, now I'm lucky to get 50-100.

LO loves to be read books all day long. I only read blogs these days.

I read between 20 minutes and an hour every night. Closer to an hour in the summer.

i try to read at least 5 books a day to LO, as well.

@Bao: Stupid little kid toys. It's aimed for elementary school age. So far we've gotten an eraser, fan, little junk things that I stick in the donate pile.

I read at night - maybe an hour or so? I'm a fairly fast reader but it also depends on how into the book I am.

I read every day, for a fairly sizable chunk of time, but I couldn't say exactly how long it is. I probably spend almost an hour per day reading to LO (but I don't count that as reading for me) and I also will sit on the floor with her and read my book whilst she plays. I like for her to have independent play time, but I want her to see me doing something educational whilst she's playing, rather than watching tv or playing on the computer. I also read for anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour before bed each night, so all in all, I'd say I get a fair amount of reading in each day.

I TRY to read a book a day (roughly ~300 pages, takes ....3?ish hours of straight through) rarely takes me more than 3 days to finish a book.
ETA: also, if I'm within 100 pages of finishing I am not to be disturbed.

@sera_87: I used to read like that, but with LO I can't anymore. There's so much less time.

@MaisyMay: I used to read so much more before LO and put my reading on hiatus until the last 2 months or so. I missed it!

@sera_87: I still go through 4-6 books a week, on average, but it feels like a lot less. I have been reading anthologies of novels more, so it's 3-4 books in one.
