How much a month does your family spend on...
-diapers
-formula (if you FFeed)
-day care
Also, how old is your LO and how many kids does this include? We are trying to rework our budget to include formula and some spikes in student loans.

Diapers: Sometimes we buy a huge box, sometimes a smaller box and it will take more than a month to get through but averaged out probably $15-$20 per month on diapers. Soon that will be way more because of a NB but currently A only goes through a handful of diapers a day and we buy her Luvs (unless there is a better sale), so they are cheaper. She is 14 months.

Around $55 a month for diapers/wipes.
No formula or daycare.

I live abroad, so I might not be much of a help. DD also had a Rx for her formula since she has a milk allergy and she hasn't started daycare yet. But we pay really high taxes (a lot of which go into childcare), so our out-of-pocket costs are pretty low. Here are our costs per diaper/wipe.
$0.27 diaper (Pamper's Active Fit)
$0.03 wipe (Pamper's Sensitive)
$20 for a shipment of Neocate with Rx (16 cans)

We spend about $25 a month on diapers, $1000 a month on day care, and we breastfeed so no formula costs.
watermelon / 14467 posts
So far, we've spent $75 on NB diapers (planning to use cloth once she outgrows NB dipes, but will reevaluate if not a good fit) and daycare will be $766 a month for infant care.

We spend about $45-50/month on size 4 diapers and wipes.
No formula or DC here, but we spent a good $75-100/month in the first few months on formula (similar, largest containers were about $25/ea)

diapers: we have spent $50 TOTAL in 11 months. Daycare provides so we only use 1-2 a day plus weekends. We got a ton from baby showers and that stash finally ran out recently
-formula (if you FFeed) - We heavily supplement. But daycare also supplies, so that really, really helps. LOs grandparents usuallt buy a container of formula powder when they visit every week or two. So we have probably bought two or three ourself in her whole life. So...less than $100 total in 11 months
day care- about 1000 a month
honeydew / 7303 posts
Well for the first year we spent about 30ish a month on diapers, no formula costs, and 832 on daycare.
we moved and she uses less diapers now so probably 20/month on that and now 600/month on daycare. We pay for full time daycare but she only goes 3 days a week.
we have one little one who is 14 months.

Diapers - ~$25 - $30 for an infant
Infant Feeding - We only used the samples of formula we were given but we spent a lot on my pump all at once ($150) and then bought three sets of parts, plus two pumping bras. There was also the cost of the drying racks (2 @ $10 each), bottle brush ($10) and extra bottles.
Daycare averages out to - $996/mo right now. It used to be $1200/mo.
honeydew / 7091 posts
Diapers - We CD, so that's not helpful. If I was to divide out my cost by 30 months of diaper wearing it's $27/mo (Really need to use them on baby #2 to see my savings!! Also bought way too many diapers, and unnecessary supplies)
Formula - Ugh. We use Costco's Kirkland brand which saves us SO MUCH money (at least half, I think)! We're spending about $68/month on formula
Daycare - We use an in-home daycare, in an area that has pretty cheap daycare costs (from what I've gathered seeing other people's costs!). We pay $708/mo

I'm going to do last month since she was still on formula, we've since graduated to milk (WOO HOO!)
Diapers: big box from Sam's $40 (wipes I buy the huge box so those last a few months since we don't have to take to daycare)
Formula: $240 - 300 we were on Allimentum so it was way more than normal formula.
Daycare: $115/week so it depends on how many weeks in a month. (We have an awesome cheap in home daycare!)
honeydew / 7091 posts
@LuLu Mom: It's a good thing you had cheap daycare to offset that formula! I would cry... You must be SO happy to be on milk now!

We spend about $70 dollars in diapers because Dh won't buy the big box to last us longer :), $5 (?) in wipes (we buy the 3 pack of pampers wipes), no $ in formula b/c we breastfeed, and $800 in daycare costs per month.
eggplant / 11824 posts
Diapers: less than $50/month at the height of diaper cost, now less as she uses less diapers per day.
Formula: was $120/month (she was exclusively ff)
Daycare: infant: $1400, toddler: $1230

@swurlygurl: We actually had a little ceremony when we threw the last empty can away! We joked that it was like paying off a car since we were spending that much a month! Not going to lie milk is awesome and we totally notice the extra money a month! haha

Diapers: $32 - amazon.com subscribe and save
Formula - about $20 per month. Started having to supplement BM at day care. I just can't pump enough to keep up.
Day care - $900. Down from $1260 we were paying at fancy center that I ended up hating. Very happy with the tiny church day care we found.

Diapers $38.99 ( average one box )
Formula $100 (estimate as we are just starting on all formula, next month, using my freezer stash right now)
Daycare $1200
GOLD / cantaloupe / 6581 posts
Diapers/wipes: We have a stash that is going to last us til December, so we've only spent about 25$ total in the last 4 months. I expect once we run out we will spend closer to 40$ on diapers + wipes monthly
Formula: We supplement, and go through one box of Up&Up a month which is about 24$
Daycare: 675$ (low for our area)
@BlueWolverine: We're at a smaller church daycare as well and I love it! I thought I wanted to go with the big fancy ($$$) center but I'm glad I didn't. Funny how it works out!
coffee bean / 26 posts
Diapers/wipes: $40 per month (Amazon S&S)
Formula: He is exclusively formula fed but is also starting solids, and I'd guess we spend around $75 a month, maybe a little more
Daycare: $1880 per month at a Bright Horizons center - and this is after being partially subsidized by my employer! We live in a higher cost of living area so this is pretty much the norm

This is for 1 child, almost 14 months:
Maybe $15-20 a month for diapers/wipes (daycare provides these when she is in school)
N/A for Formula (LO is now on WCM)
$1,600 (and some change) for daycare

For a 20 month old:
- Probably around $35/month on diapers + wipes. We go through one box of Pampers (approx. $30ish with coupons), and 1/2 box of wipes (approx. $10 with coupons) each month.
- We EBF so no formula... but there were tons of costs associated w/BF-ing the first year. Pump, pump parts, Medela bottles, etc - I probably spent a good $500 the first year.
- No daycare

I'm not helpful because we spend $0, $0, and $0 in those categories. No daycare (I SAH and sometimes WAH), EBF, and cloth diaper.

14 months old:
Diapers: $50. I do Amazon Subscribe & Save for day & nighttime diapers. For daycare, I send a box to the daycare. It lasts pretty long actually.
Formula: when we were doing formula, I think we averaged about $50 a month or so because I would do the Target brand stuff at $22 a container. Now with cow's milk, we average about a gallon a week or so.
Daycare: just under $1,200 a month
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
We have PT daycare since I'm only half time at work so daycare is less than $500/mo. Diapers are about $50/mo. I haven't priced it out exactly because we do honest diapers which is $80/bundle but we get so many that we only need to order every other month, but it doesn't include enough wipes so we always need to buy extra.
He is a toddler, so no breastmilk/formula... but he eats a lot and our grocery bill has gone up significantly. We also buy foods we didn't used to, just for him, like grape tomatoes and berries. All those little extras add up.

On a monthly basis, we spend about:
Diapers/wipes: $30
Daycare: $1,220
Formula (we suppement for daycare): $20 (a tub lasts us about 1 1/2 months)
LO is 11.5 months old

14 month old:
Diapers and wipes: $30-40
No formula
And no daycare yet but it will be $1500 when we start soon

About $30-$40/month for diapers and wipes
No formula this time around, and last time around we didn't start it until he was eating solids, so it wasn't much
Daycare: almost $3k/month (for 2)

@littlek: yup, that is for one. It is toddler rate too, it is 2500 for infants. I'm excited for it to go down to 2000 when she turns 2.

Diapers - $0, we use cloth diapers and wipes
Formula - $75ish a month. He goes through the large tubs of Similac from BJ's in a week and a half. They're $29 a tub.
Daycare - $0. I work from home 2x a week (monday and friday), DH is home on tuesday, and my mom watches him wednesday and thursday
