I'm going as Miss piggy, so I just had to buy a wig at goodwill (new) and a piggy nose. It still cost $15, more than I wanted to spend!
I'm making LO's costume out of pajamas that she can wear again that I bought for $12. I'm very happy about that one.

I got a used pumpkin costume this weekend for $6. I'm happy with that. As she gets older I can see spending $10-$15. I would be willing to spend a bit more if it was something creative or could be saved and used in a dress up box.

We bought both kids' costumes at Costco for... $15 each, I think. I am not crafty, so we'll probably do store-bought costumes until the kids can make their own, lol.

I use stuff and costume makeup I have around. I always have fake blood, face paint, wigs, and costumes stocked up year round!
