We still have tons of hand me downs and gifts so I usually only have to buy a few pieces. But shoes- I can't keep up with this kid's feet!

I buy used/consignment shops. My budget is max $50 per season for 1 child, except more for winter because of the winter coat and boots--so max $75 for winter.

Probably around $250...we are running out of gifted clothes for R that are size and season appropriate (not that that stopped me from buying things before). I bought her a North Face fleece because she will be able to wear that in her car seat. I still need to buy her a snow suit and boots. I'm waiting on the boots because I'm not sure what size her feet will be.

Probably around 100$. She still gets gifted a ton of stuff that I usually let her wear to play in because they aren't the style I would prefer. I spend my money on weekend outfits and cute outerwear. She runs all of her daycare clothes, so I don't waste my money!

Easily over $300 per child per season

$100 or less including what I buy to sew. I try to only shop used except for shoes/boots.

Probably will spend $200-250 for fall/winter stuff for DS. We have pretty mild winters so don't need to buy too warm of a coat and I think he might be able to wear some of his stuff from last year.

Probably $150 or so? I don't really know to be honest, I buy 1-2 things as we need them and not in 1 big shopping trip. We also have a lot of hand me downs from neighbors and friends that work since our seasons are kind of mild and she wears the same things Fall, Winter and Spring. Obviously she wears a coat in the Winter but her indoor clothes are pretty much the same!

I shop a lot at Goodwill and other second hand stores. My mom and MIL will buy stuff, also. I don't spend more than $50 per kid each season...less for M right now.

Honestly, no clue. I shop clearance/sales/consignment and just pick up stuff as he needs it or I find a good deal. He grows way too fast to drop a ton of $$$

@Bao: What size will your DD2 be in for fall and winter?

It will for sure be less than $200. I just don't see the point in spending a ton on something he will wear for 3-6 months. We live in a pretty warm area, so he won't need a heavy coat or snowsuit or anything.

She goes up in clothing so fast that I shop at cheaper places like Target and kohls. I'll even get her shoes at Target, or TJ maxx. I get one nice pair of shoes from Nordstrom that last her summer/fall but even her feet grow so fast! I try to catch sales and shop with coupons. I buy a lot from old navy too!

Maybe $150 for fall/winter and $150 on spring/summer

Probably between $100-$150, if that. H is a peanut and at 10 months can still squeeze into 6-9 month onesies. I shop at cheaper stores and buy secondhand. I will spend a bit of money on shoes once it gets colder.

I sell a bunch of her things back to consignment stores, so out if pocket I will spend between $50-75.

I've been doing real good cause I got all secondhand for this fall! Mrs. train sold me loads of her sons clothes for an amazing price, and then I got a decent haul at once upon a child so I've spent about $100 total and he's pretty set I think. He just needs a few plain long sleeved tees that I might get from H&M and then a snowsuit. I saw some for cheap at once upon child so I'll stop there again in a couple months.

When she was under a year it didn't cost much to get her clothes for a new season but as she gets older it definitely costs more to update her wardrobe. In the Seattle area it will definitely cost us more than $300 to get her ready for fall/winter bc that will be most of her clothes for the year...pretty much from October to May it's the same temperature so they can live in the same indoor clothes and just change to heavier or lighter jackets and shoes for outdoors.

Probably around $150. Both sets of grandparents shop for him and I'm kinda addicted to buying him clothes off eBay! I never buy anything full-price because he grows so fast.

I thrift shop/consignment shop. Especially since she's so young I find that most of the baby clothes at thrift stores are in super good condition because most people's babies don't wear outfits many times before they outgrow them and even if they do, they don't move around enough to wear them out a whole lot.

Even once she's older, I think I'll do the same because I hate the idea of spending a bunch on clothes she's gonna get messy in, and I definitely want her to be able to get messy!
