@creativemomma15: All the screen time and all the popsicles when she's sick. My 2 year old had the flu last week and powered through an entire season of My Little Ponies in one day. No shame.

All day. If she's feeling up to it, we may take a break and color or do a puzzle. Or I will trade the tv for a game on the iPad. But I dont worry about it at all especially if you need to keep her away from the baby.

As for screen time, as much as he wants. E has a bad cold, and I think an ear infection is coming on, and last night I let him have a dinner picnic on the living room floor so he could keep watching Chuggington.

as much as they want! If it gets my girls to rest and sit still I will let them watch Netflix and click the "yes I'm still watching" button as many times as it needs to be I do shut it off if I think she's fighting sleep to watch, but for me sickness trumps all rules.

Ditto.. Tv all day, as much popsicles or juice as he wants, I usually toss the coloring book in bed so he can take a break if he wants. I have to say, having a sick toddler is much less work than having a sick baby, even if you have to watch awful cartoons all day.

Don't feel guilty! I always think about my own childhood... I probably watched more TV than we would let our kids today; I don't think it affected me. So esp when LOs are not feeling well, I'd totally let them do what makes them feel better if it's just more TV time!

I remember one time I was home with her and I was the super sick one... DD was barely a year old and I let her watch TV for a good hour b/c I could barely keep it together

Today we're doing allllll the screen time. Thanks vomiting and diarrhea.

I've been letting my one year snuggle with me and watch shows on the laptop. There has to be singing and movement to keep her attention. So I think she could zone out for awhile, but there's only so much Sesame Street singing this mom can take!
