We got rid of our cable so we no longer bundle our internet.
We pay $50 a month with CenturyLink.

$50 a month with clear or something like that. I really like the fact that I can take the modem anywhere and have wifi.

Thirty something. I have centurylink too. I don't really like it but it's a lot cheaper than Comcast.

blah. we bundle with our cable (including premium channels) and we pay like $180 month. total ripoff.

We pay $38 a month with AT&T, The first year was $19 as part of their promo but we just passed the 12 month mark and now have to pay full price.

around $60. we don't have tv or phone and we have a pretty high speed. thinking about dialing it back to save around $20 per month. we'll see.

Ours is $54 I think... we have time warner cable and I hate it but it is our only option

$0! we don't have Internet at home. When we did it was part of our cable tv bill. $150 for cable, no premium channels or DVR, and Internet.
eggplant / 11824 posts
Ours is bundled with premium cable package with 2 DVR systems and its about $185/mo if we don't buy any movies.
coconut / 8475 posts
It was $50.00 as a first year intro price then went to $60 this year....Comcast.
Our cable is DishNetwork and it is the same thing...$50 for new customers for 12m then $60 after that.
I'm happy paying internet because we couldn't live without it but cable sucks...we barely watch t.v and when we do we're big on renting movies and we use our *internet connection* (Netflix) to do that!

@MaisyMay: at&t covers our area now! I should look into this. How do you like your speed?
hostess / papaya / 10540 posts
Darn AT&T is fifty something a month for Internet and a home phone we don't use. I feel like it is way overpriced.
@anonysquire: Now that wifi is a great feature.

We get basic cable for free as part of our HOA condo fees. We then pay $90 a month for the DVR, high def channels and internet, then all the taxes and crap they add onto the bill.

$45 with century link.
@mrs. bird: how do you survive!!
GOLD / cantaloupe / 6703 posts
@TurtleDoves: We have the middle speed for their plan, and it works really well. Once in a while we have to pause tv episodes on hulu to let it buffer, but not very often, maybe a few times a month, if that.

@Coco Bee: I love it! We don't watch tv either:) I'm sure it helps that we live in a city (albeit a small one!) so we have easy access to lots of things to do, and we aren't home a ton either. We watch a lot of movies, but I like that our lives aren't full of commercials via tv & the web. Home is a retreat! We use our phones for the Internet & both have it at work. Sometimes I'll stop somewhere to use wifi. We started it because we were trying to save $$ while planning our wedding, but I find I'm calmer & more focused now. But we may get it once I get pregnant & don't feel like going out as much, but there's a part if me that would love to raise our LOs in screen free environment. I'm not sure I'm strong enough for that though!
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@mrs. bird: Wow that would be totally awesome if you could hold to that!!!
I didn't grow up with much screen time either, but sadly I have become a screen-addict anyway. I am on my computer for the better part of the day, and when I was pregnant I was already a SAHM, so I did watch TV a lot. lol It's recent though, I was never like this.

@mrs. bird: Wow. I could not do it. So, your on the internet on your smart phone? (i would imagine)
GOLD / pomelo / 5167 posts
Ours is a bundle we pay 120$ taxes in for 3 services, internet, cable, and telephone. I think the internet is about 55$
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@Boogs: I think so too! We can take it to my parents cabin and it works great. They said we can use it in all 50 states. So I am excited for our trips. Well all hotels have free wifi these days, but still it should be useful somewhere

$29.99 (just for internet), with Comcast. They pushed the Triple Play thing hard, but we decided against cable, and have no need for a land line.
kiwi / 614 posts
The going rate in France for most of the providers is 30€/month (45-50$ roughly). This includes internet, basic cable and a land-line with free calls to other landlines worldwide.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
Our internet + long distance home phone = $55/month. But that's only after 3 months, 5 hour long convos, etc. hassle of AT&T messing up our original promotion.
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
We have fios...bundled with HD premium channels, dvr & all the movie channels we pay $150/month.
grapefruit / 4187 posts
We don't have internet! I dumped time warner for good a couple months ago when our bundle price magically passed $210/month. It was magic because we didn't add on any service and we barely used it in the first place!
We are currently looking into getting internet though and will probably go wtih Verizon since they're only $35/month here.
pomelo / 5331 posts
Our Internet and cable is also bundled and we pay about $130 but we have a DVR and DH likes all the sports and movie channels so bah.
