Before I was pregnant, I might drink a cup of water a day. Now I'm drinking up to 90oz a day! Such a huge change.

I take in around 64 oz most of the time. Now that I'm pregnant, I'm more diligent in getting my 8 cups or more a day.

I've always been a huge water drinker, but now that I'm pregnant and ALWAYS thirsty, I drink close to a gallon a day.

I used to be horrible about drinking enough water - some days I'd get home and realize the only thing I'd had to drink was coffee - eek! My New Year's resolution was to be better about water and I've been doing my 8 glasses since, so far so good.

I can't think in ounces at all, so I've no idea what kind of quantities you guys are referring to! The standard 8 glasses advice amounts to about two litres or 8-ish pints, so I know I don't drink anywhere near enough, and with two babas dancing on my bladder I can't pee anymore than I already do! I'm hoping to BF though so I'll obviously have to increase it significantly for that.

Oy I only drink water but I still don't drink nearly enough. I'd say I probably average 5-6 glasses a day. For some reason I find it really hard to drink the recommended 8 glasses. And I cannot imagine using the bathroom more often then I already do. I guess I'm just not a thirsty person? Great job though!

Not enough, there are some days when I realize I've only had coffee to drink all day :(. If I remember my giant water bottle in the mornings, I do well because I make myself sip from it all day. But if I forget it I may not drink any water at all. I really need improve this area of my life!!

I'm trying to drink around 72-96oz of water per day. I have a 24oz camelback bottle that I just keep refilling.

All I drink is water. But I still don't drink a lot of it.

Pre-pregnancy I drank quite a bit - I probably drank 3-4 bottles a lot, plus water with meals.
Now, I drink even more....I am constantly filling my water bottle. But I'm not really sure how many ounces.

I probably drink around 150 oz a day now. With breast feeding I feel sooo thirsty all the time! It's to a point where I can chug a 32 oz of water at a time from my water bottle. It's crazy.

@artbee: Me too!! I tend to drink more when I'm eating or even taking meds, but I can't seem to drink water by itself!

I have a 24oz cup at work that I fill up at least 5 times when I'm there, I drink well over 100 oz a day (always have.) I pay more attention now that I'm pregnant. I feel like I don't do as well on the weekend though, so I have to try to remember to drink as much!

@Alivoo01: I'm never thirsty until night time, when my body realizes that I haven't had enough water all day. But then if I drink a lot I have to pee all night long.

my friend who gave birth to full-term twins was told to drink at least 8oz of water every waking hour during her pregnancy. she thinks it's the reason why she went full-term so i'm doing the same...drinking a minimum of 128 ounces of water per day - i usually drink a lot more than that. if i can prevent pre-term labor and a NICU stay by doing something as simple as staying hydrated, then i'm all for it.

Around 100 oz per day - more if I notice my hands or feet are starting to swell.
