I'm stressing out about how much I've spent so far for each LO. I have bought a lot, winter snow suits, all essentials, sweaters, shoe's...they still need warm pj's, rainboots, snow boots and holiday wear. I am seriously considering shopping consignment after looking at our bank statements!
I think I've spent more than my parents spent on back-to-school shopping for me!

I set a budget of $200 for her fall/winter stuff, including a new pair of shoes. Once I get there I am stopping, it's so easy to keep buying new cute stuff!

Maybw $100? I have spent $50 so far but haven't bought her a warm jacket, tights, or shoes yet. Maybe it will go to $150 when I include hats and cute accessories.
P.s. I shopped carters during a sale with major coupons and got a ton for $50!!!

and I don't know how I feel about used shoes.
I think I have money from REI rewards so that can pay for their snow boots.

I need to see what still fits from last year...my son dresses pretty plainly and he's starting to have an opinion, so it makes what I buy a little more of a crap shoot.
For example, he loves dinosaurs and wears his dino pajamas almost every night, so I bought him a dino tee....he WILL NOT wear it. So great shopping there, mom!
I think I am going to spend somewhere in the neighborhood of about $100. All he really needs is some long sleeved tees and a pair of sneakers. I bought a coat for him last season and his snow boots will still fit, so we're good.

I've spent $100 on some essentials - new jeans, a few pants, some shits and mabye 3 sweaters. He needs boots, a jacket, hat mittens, and PJs, at a minimum. I plan to tell grandma who is visiting us in a few months (October) that he needs more fall and winter stuff and hopefully I won't have to buy more actual clothes for him (it stays warmish here through October).

None so far. DS can wear everything from last year and had way too much anyway, so we will not be adding anything unless it's a must/too cute to pass 
The baby is a different story! My mom insisted she needed not 1 but 2 of the exact same snowsuits! They are two different sizes and I don't think she will wear either with how our winters have been

Winter gear shopping is no joke! I can not believe how much some things are. I'm from Southern CA, I never had to wear so many clothes for winter. I'm still getting over the sticker shock AND I BOUGHT EVERYTHING ON SALE weeeeeks ago!
So far I've spent $300 and that's not including a pair of winter boots that I still need to buy. But that total is for both rain + snow gear, so it's not just winter clothes. With the fall gear, I know she'll still be able to wear it this spring and it's possible they'll make it until next fall as well, but I doubt it. Some of the pieces I got were 80% off!

I haven't yet, the baby will be able to wear some of M's clothes, and I have a little stock pile for M too. I need to sort all of it out and see where we are.
For C I'm buying his school uniforms at H&M and without jeans, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and shoes it comes to $200 with their 20% code. It'll probably be another $150 after the jeans, shoes and other stuff. Kids get so expensive as they get older!

I have a $75 budget for winter boots, hats, mitts and a fleece one piece....wish me luck!
I will probably have to buy him a few new clothes too - pants, long sleeve shirts, sweaters, socks. So hopefully I can find a sale and spend $100 or less. I'm sure our parents will buy him a few outfits to round it out

We did a lock down on spending over the summer so I haven't purchase anything. We don't need alot this year. I am considering getting Lala some skis but that's it.

I'm hoping that I can get everything else we need for both kids for $100 or under. DD doesn't need much, maybe a few long sleeve shirts and sweaters. And we got a bunch of hand me downs(jeans and hoodies) for DS from my brother and a friend got him a bunch of fall/winter items for his birthday. We just need winter coats, hats, boots, sneakers and a few more sweaters and pajamas

Probably nothing. It doesn't really get cold where we live. If we have a chilly week or two, I'll probably run out and get him a jacket and some pants....

We don't have family that buys him clothes so its all on us. We bought a good amount from gap for $125- it was 3 pairs of jeans, 1 pair of sweatpants, two plain white collared shirts, one polo, a sweatshirt and a chambray button up.
I was at H&M today and spent another $20 on two sweaters, and three plain tops.
I shopped a lot of end of year sales last year, so he already has about 5 sweaters or sweater one piece outfits.
I do still need to get him snowboots (cannot believe how expensive they are!!!) because winters here are nuts, hat(s), mittens, scarf. He might fit his winter coat from last year (it was too big) but we'll see once winter gets here.
As for clothes though, he is set.

@Mrs. Pen: ugh, yes, it's all the little things that add up! Hats, gloves, boots (rain and snow) alone for both kids will be $100 if not more. Not to mention all the essentials I bought them.
My mom occasionally brings by clothes but it's usually after the kids have worn their new clothes for about a month and it's not like I can return them. Right now, it's about $300 for each LO. I think we'll just buy a few items at a time from her on out rather than doing big hauls.

3 long sleeve shirts

2 pair patterned pants
1 skirt
1 pair leggings
4 pair socks
DS:
2 pair jeans (gap and joe's - on sale)
1 pair colored cords
4 pair carters socks
1 champion light jacket
1 carters winter coat
5 long sleeve plain t's
1 sweater
1 hoodie
2 pair shoe's
All with 35% from gap and 40% off from carters and that's $300 each soo, $600 total? That makes me queesy. Good thing they won't grow out of these clothes instantly or anything...

I'm guessing 150 or so? I found a great little consignment shop and scored a huge bag of clothes for $30. We need some additional things like warmer sleep sacks and socks but it shouldn't set us back too much.

Ugh, I don't even really want to think about it yet, S's growth is so irregular that pre-buying things on sale usually backfires on me, so we are basically starting from scratch here, because he shot up 2 sizes over the summer, so nothing from the spring fits. He has 4 pairs of jeans, and that is it I am assuming we will be in the $400+ dollar range. We live where it gets super duper cold, so we need really good quality winter stuff, especially because we like to get outside in the winter a lot.

I'm done pre-buying her sizes because I have no idea how the next sizing will go. She has stuff to last her until the fall/into beginning of winter and I'm hopin that I can make it until Black Friday without buying anything else. By then, I should have a good idea of where she's at and then I can buy a bunch for the winter/rest of the year. We're in so cal though so I just have toget her layered. Glad I don't have to deal with boots and all that snow stuff!

@HLK208: yikes! I didn't read your previous responses but what about consignment stores? I just got some babygap and Gymboree stuff for LO off thredup and a lot of it has tags or looks new.
I'd estimate I've spent about $150 or less, and will probably have to buy snow boots and a pair of shoes.
