Do you bathe a newborn every day, or... how often? I imagine they don't get dirty very fast at that age.

We bathed our LO daily.
Just with water no soap. She loved it.

I bathed her every day, sometimes just with water. It has always been a part of our night time sleep ritual. Afterwards, she knows it is time for bed.

twice a week with soap, but once he started really liking bath time, we started doing them every day with the bedtime routine

When LO was a newborn, we bathed him every other day--the water soothed him. We bathe him every night now. He looooves bath time!

Until she was 5 months, it was ever second day or maybe every 3 days. Now it's nightly.

We bathed her twice a week in the beginning...she hated baths with a passion and screamed bloody hell.

We bathed her every third day when she was a newborn. Since she turned 3 months, it's been every other day. As we're heading into summer now though, we'll probably start doing it every day.

Rarely. She didn't spit up or blow out her diapers. I wiped her with a soft rag every day, but a bath was more of a fun thing. Even now at 13 months, some days she'll have three and play, and then today it's been a few days.

Twice a week as a newborn, they have such delicate skin prone to dryness! Now we do every second day, Sawyer has extremely sensitive skin prone to eczema, so any more than that would cause us problems.

Visiting nurse said every 2-3 days because its approaching winter and she said her skin will get dried out..but did say I could sponge her whenever.

Every two or three days... mainly to keep the neck cheese at bay. Now at 5 months we try to only do a bath every other day.

As a NB we only did sponge baths once or twice a week until her umbilical cord fell off. Then she graduated to the Puj tub, then the angled baby tub. We normally only use water with drops of oil in it. But when she's funky, she'd get a double rinse with actual baby shampoo/soap. She's almost 4 mo and we bathe her every other day with water and oil and with soap only once a week. We use Weleda Baby Calendula.

@mrsjazz: Our LO was the same way! I dreaded giving her a bath and I would avoid it. I could never understand having it be part of her bedtime routine because it was SO not relaxing for her. But now she loves splashing around!
