In newborn class our teacher said babies only need baths every 3 days because they don't really get dirty. But when did you start giving your baby daily baths?

I gave my LO baths every day, but only use soap to wash her body and hair once a week. She got sponge baths daily until her belly button fell off.

Liv gets bathed daily now at 4.5 months . We started daily bathing probably at like a month bc she was loving them so much. Its also part of her routine now. Bed, jammies, eat, sleep, and she knows this now. The soap and shampoo dont bother her, but some days we just do water. Thats the part of it she really enjoys.

My LO is 2 months old and gets a bath almost every day. She has a ton of hair and is a big spit up-er, and her spit up has a magical way of getting in her hair. It's pretty necessary to bathe her every day to keep her hair from smelling like stale milk.

Usually every 2-3 days. I don't know that she will ever always bathe everyday. I don't even do that. Stinky family.

We were doing every 2-3 days, but now I want to start a routine so we started last week doing a bath everynight. She loves them!

Olive is 2 months old and we do everyday because she loves baths! I think it calms her. I don't always use soap though except in her booty area. She's been getting a daily bath pretty much since her umbilical cord fell off.

We have been giving my son daily baths as part of his nighttime routine since about 6 weeks, once his umbilical cord fell off. We don't go whole hog on the scrubbing and soap every time but the routine of having a bath before bed helps get my son into the sleepy mode and settling down.

DS is almost 4, and still doesn't get a bath everyday! We do every other. When he was an infant, it was about every 3 days. His skin would always get really dry no matter what or how much lotion I used, so his Dr told me to not bath him so often.

Every day since about a month old when her umbilical cord fell off. I know they say you don't need to do it every day but I am a bit of a clean freak so I have to do it.

We started daily baths at 12 months, when he started daycare. Before then, every two days.

@LivsMama: My LO used to scream all through bath time. She just started not to but it's very obvious she still doesn't love it. I think that's why we've been delaying daily baths.

We give our LO a bath everyday, I feel like she's stinky if we don't! At 4 months we still have her in the baby bath, but when is a good time to transition her to the regular tub/shower?

We give ours a bath when we he is awake and we are showering. This is no where near regular. He can go a week or so between bathings. And if we do shower together regularly (every day the last 2 weeks), he only gets soap once or twice.

Pretty much every day (She's 3 months old). She spits up a lot and sometimes it gets in her hair if she's lying on her playmat, so daily bathing is absolutely needed!

We do every other day unless she spits up a lot. She's 2 months old and starting to outgrow her puj tub too. She absolutely loves her bath time!

Stinky family here too. We do it every 2-3 days, usually 2. LO loves the bath so it is more because he doesn't really need it.

@sunshine44: I really don't know, but we're waiting until she can sit up better.

Ya, I figure we'll wait till she can hold herself up. She loves splashing in the water so I can't wait till she can play in the big tub!

She started getting daily baths at 3 months when we started sleep training as part of her bedtime routine. She used to hate it...Then tolerated it...Now I think she might even like it!

@Rubies: I think we're at the tolerating stage. Although she just started kicking her legs a lot today, I think she's trying to splash. We even actually got a smile out of her

Daily. It's part of LO's bedtime routine and relaxes him to sleep. Plus, I think it's good to make sure his booty is squeaky clean after a day of poops, lol.

Everyday. She goes to daycare. I'm a germaphobe, so I need to get the germs off.LOL Plus, I don't want the daycare teachers thinking I don't bath my baby.

We did daily until my son was having skin issues, so we stopped for a while and at about 6 months we started the daily again.

Uh, we probably bathe DS twice a week, unless he explodes or something.
He loves baths, and wouldn't mind doing it daily, but we are lazy.
GOLD / wonderful grape / 20289 posts
@Lozza: My husband is lazy about it too! But I feel like we're ready for daiy baths so he'll just have to deal with it.

We were doing almost daily as part of his bedtime routine, but now roughly every other day because his skin was drying out/getting rashy.

We're def. on the every other to everyday baths around here. He loves the water and like to let his little balls soak.

My daughter has usually had a daily bath since infancy. When she was a newborn I gave her a nightly sponge bath to help her sleep, and to get all the milk out of her neck rolls!

We do bathy time every 2-3 days. After reading this I feel like I should bathe her everyday now. I will do quick little wash-ups in between, if she spits up. She does enjoy baths, I think we'll wait until she can play more and sit up better before we do daily baths.
