How often do you give your nanny a raise? Yearly? When she merits it? Our nanny has been with us 6m and we hadn't discussed performance reviews or when a raise would be considered.
Also, when you give a raise, how much do you give?

People in my area do yearly, or when there's a major life event that changes their job duties (another kid, more responsibility).

We've done after the first six months and then yearly, I think. First one was $1. Not sure how much subsequently.

@winniebee: The standard in our area is $1 increase per year at her anniversary date.

We always planned on doing an annual review with a raise at that time but both of our nannies badgered us for more $ from day #1 on the job so to make them happy we have micro raises earlier.
