we've made running errands or shopping our date days. but we've only been on one overnight date and one date night to a wedding. ds is five months.
we do date nights in all the time-- but need to make time to get out together just us AT NIGHT! :O

Trying to be better about utilizing our parents (who are always dying to see DD).

We've been on an actual date night once since LO was born (7 months ago). Keep meaning to go on more but it doesn't happen. I've told dh we need to go on a date night soon since I need a break!

I'm still pregnant with our first, so we have at least one date a week. Depending on how I'm feeling, we will usually go out for a bite to eat on Friday evening, after work.
We'll also usually do a brunch or happy hour date sometime over the course of the weekend. Then there are our Sunday evening beach walks, random trips to the ice creamery, and strolls to our local farmer's market. I don't know if I would classify those outings as dates, but we make a point to get out and about, and spend quality time together.

Never. And I'm torn because I want a date night but I don't want to leave H.
I may get the nanny to keep her one night soon and take DH out. He wanted to stay in the suite at the hotel we got married in (in the same room as our wedding night) for our anniversary on May 29th and I was like, "Would we bring H?" and he was like, "No. It's me and you time. We have to make that a priority now so that 5 years from now we haven't forgotten about us." I know he's right, but my brain was like "What???? LEAVE HER? OVERNIGHT??? DOUBTFUL!" The suite we stayed in is like $500 a night, no kidding, so I kind of said "With everything we have coming up and moving expenses, that is kind of expensive to stay 30 mins away from our house!" That was how I got out of it! Bad wife:( Great mom:)

@PrincessBaby: Oh my god I'm so not ready to spend a night away from E.
DS is 8.5 months and we've gone out twice since he was born, once to see a movie right after Thanksgiving and again last Sunday evening. We went out for a belated birthday dinner and drinks. We make grocery shopping an event with lunch out, but E is always with us, so it's a family date.

My parents take E overnight every other Friday so we have a real date night and alone time every other week. It's so nice to get time sans bebe with my husband and focus on US as a married couple instead of just us as parents.

Before baby, once a week.
Post baby, my Mom has come over twice at night, when my Dad has had to work late, to see R and we left to go grab a quick dinner. Right now she is the only one I will leave R with since she is so fussy at night and won't take a bottle on a regular basis.

In the first two years of LO's life, we went out exactly 3 times, alone together. Now, we make it a priority to go out once a month with LO having an overnight at my parents home.

Rarely, even before LO. It's just never been our thing, to go sit in a crowded restaurant or go to the movies. We're homebodies lol

We do a lot of eating out & running erronds. I don't consider it a date night unless I'm wearing make up...so maybe once a month lol
