We always use family but they live 45 mins away. I want to do more date nights but I hate to pay someone to sit there while she sleeps!

It sucks to pay someone so much to sit on my couch and watch my cable, but it would suck more to never have dates.

My mom usually does it for free. @Leialou has watched her a couple of times for us...we pay her in Starbucks gift cards

We use one 1-2x a month, family is far but sometimes they come too. We pay $10ish an hour but usually round up! So probably around 11-12/hr

Consider finding a family to trade with? On occasion, I'll go watch another little one while DH stays home with LO, then it's our turn. Mostly, my parents are available to watch him, but occasionally, that works. When it doesn't, we pay $10/hour (much lower cost of living).

Maybe about once a month or so. We pay about $8 per hour, but our girls are only 15/16 and I feel like that is fair, especially since LO is in bed when they get here. When he is awake and/or when they start driving themselves to my house instead of me having to drive them I will up it to $10.

We have hired someone 2-3 x in 2.5 years. We have family close by although I feel guilty asking them to sit at night - everyone would rather watch them during the day while the kids are awake but that's MY time with my kids since I work long hours. We pay $15/hr.

Twice a month and we are thinking of making it 3 times a month. Our babysitter is $10 an hour.

Maybe once every few months, if that. We do date night swaps with other couples. When we do hire a sitter we pay $15/hr during waking hours and 10-12$/hour if they're just hanging out while LO sleeps.
