Our kids having been spending a fair amount of time on the floor building blocks and making art, so keeping it clean has been rising up our priority list!
We were doing ok for a while, but since we got back from a recent trip... we've been struggling just to get the basics done. So it's been a while. Gotta clean the floors soon though, because it's driving me crazy!
How often do you clean your floors these days?

Ahh I used to do it almost every week or every 10 days... Since I've been pregnant I just kinda drop the ball! We still run the Roomba every week and I'll wet swiffer problem areas, but I probably only make DH bust out the Dyson & steam mop like, twice a month now.

@mrbee: I have a shedding dog and loves to lick her feet and then walk her wet paws all over... Then I have dark wood floors so everything shows!

Cleaning lady vacuums and mops the hardwoods every two weeks. I usually sweep and vacuum (living room rug) the kitchen and living room in between.

@mrbee: I still think about a thread you posted a long time ago in which (if I'm remembering this right) you asked how many times "per week" people swiffer/steam-mop their floors. I was like...uh... a couple times a year? Ha. We try to vacuum once a week but since we're a no-shoes house it really never strikes me as necessary to mop the hardwoods. Maybe I'll do it more once we have a LO though.

Once a week i'll vacuum and Bona the floors. Sometimes i'll vacuum and Bona the kitchen area twice a week, mainly because we have hardwood in the kitchen. DH will vacuum the upstairs (carpeted area) once every 10 days.

I do steam mop probably once a month, but I vacuum 1-2 per week.

2-3 times per week for both the hardwood, tile and vacuuming. I think the house looks so much better when the floors are clean.
If we wore shoes in the house I can't imagine how often, probably twice per day! lol.

I have to vacuum downstairs everyday because of our 2 dogs - otherwise our LO is going to crawl around with black fur stuck on him everywhere!
I try to mop 2 x's per week if I can now that LO is crawling. Before that, I was bad about remembering to do it!

Vacuum everyday and mop every other day. I have a dog and infant so sometimes I end up vacuuming 2x a day if the dog is shedding excessively.

Not enough! Now that we have extended our hardwoods by a room and a hall I will have to work on keeping up on it better. I need to find a good system though, a regular mop doesn't work well for me. The swiffer is good for getting the crumbs/pet hair though!

2 kids and a dog...vacuum 2X a week, sometimes more, but it never seems like it's enough, those furballs just keep regenerating every second. i mop once a month, but i do spot mopping/swiping weekly, usually in the kitchen.

2 dogs 3 cats 2 kids Im cleaning that floor every minute it seems. I vacuum it at least once a day but usually more. I spot clean when I see problems but a whole floor wipe down occurs at least once a week. I need to do more honestly my floor is so messy always but I just dont have time for more either

Vacuum 1-2 a week, floors steamed once a week. I usually sweep 1-2 times a week because it gets dirty fast.

When company is coming or when something particularly gross and not contained to one small spot happens (cat pee, broken glass, disposal leak, etc)

We have mostly carpet - I vacuum once a week. It could definitely stand to be done more often, but I just can't bring myself to do it. I mop the kitchen and the bathrooms every other week.

I vacuum our hardwood floors ever single day, our floors are dark and every little speck shows up. I mop once a week.
