We have it transferred to a separate account bi-weekly. It's just a small amount, but that way we don't miss it, but something is still being saved.

every pay check, so every two weeks. We are frugal and dump whatever we can into savings.

Every week. DH and I get paid every other week and we're on opposite weeks!

On the first of every month I take all the money over a certain amount and transfer it over to savings. I keep way too much in my checking account so I really should increase the amount I transfer every month.

UGH. This makes me realize how far behind we are in saving money. It feels so impossible right now when you're basically living pay check to pay check (although we aren't wanting for anything by any means).
So, I'm very impressed with you all!

Every paycheck...our house savings, savings for our son, emergency fund, and personal savings.

A set amount once a month. Sometimes twice a month if we have extra. And every time we receive any extra money (birthday checks, freelance money, etc) unless there's something we need to do with that money like a car or home repair we've been putting off.

Every bi-weekly paycheck. We have an allotment that goes straight into savings.

Currently, we don't. We're using all the extra bit from our budget to purchase baby gear.
Previously, we took money from every paycheck and put it into savings. We'll resume that a month or two after baby arrives.

Every paycheck we transfer 30% into savings. Haven't done it lately b/c I'm on unpaid maternity leave.

Every pay check a portion goes into savings: savings, retirement and LO's college fund.

We were doing once per month until this fall. I started a new job in a new state, and DH has yet to find a job here, so we're living off of one paycheck. Technically, we should still be able to save some $$, but somehow most of it has been going towards baby gear lately. As soon as DH gets a new job though we will go back to saving, and we should be able to put his entire paycheck towards our savings.

Every time we swipe our debit card a $1 goes into our savings. We also transfer money over once or twice a month.

Once a month. We automate withdrawals every month so that x amounts go into the following savings accounts: RSPs, TFSAs, house fund, vacation fund, and RESPs.
Money is also automatically deducted from DH's and my pay cheque for contributions to our respective retirement plans.

Every pay check now! But I go through big saving periods and big spending periods. I saved for a few years, then bought my house and furnished it, spending almost everything I had in the process.
Then I went back to saving for a while and met DH. When planning our wedding, I was saving nothing---it was all going to the wedding.
DH never touched his savings for the wedding. He just payed 60% of the costs out of his paychecks. But he makes 3x what I make, so oh well!
Now we're saving hard for the baby, and I'm sure soon I'll start buying nursery and baby items.

Once a month, i pull money to a car repair/replacement fund, and once a week, a small amount to our vacation/christmas fund. And when LO gets here, I think we'll add monthly contribution to his college fund.

Bi-weekly with each of DH's paychecks. I pay myself quarterly, so I make my savings deposit quarterly as well.

Money goes into our 401ks with every pay check, into M's 529 monthly, and into our investment account monthly. Then large transfers to our individual IRAs at the end of the year.

Every paycheck + extra once a month. We have three savings accounts, and put a small amount in every week, and then a bit extra in the middle of the month. My student loans are in deferment so we lowered the payments and put the extra into savings. We also contribute to an HSA and 401Ks.
