Uh, quite often but I try to be economical about it

Omg literally never. If I do it is planned A LONG TIME in advance and it is something I absolutely need.

@Mrs. Pen: I know what you mean, I never do except out of dire need! Especially clothing... that is just never on my priority list unless I need something to function. (I just got a pair of shoes for the summer!- I had to!)

Um, never.

Not once since I had my son. 16 months ago. It's getting old lol

I used to buy stuff all the time in college and the few years after. I still buy little stuff but I have such a hard time justifying clothes and expensive make up. I just feel like I could spend the money on other things. We like to eat out and buy "fancy" food at the grocery store if we want, so that's usually where we splurge.

I need a lot less than I used to tell myself I needed lol.

But either way, almost never. If I do buy something it is a staple item (like a bra or jeans or work top) that I wear every week.

At least once a month. I just buy 1-2 things to update my wardrobe. I have been donating a lot of unused things and my closet is bare!

Every once in awhile. Not as often as I used to.

My priorities have shifted. I'd rather have money in the bank for the kids/house than buy myself something.

Hardly ever. I got $170 birthday money and spent only $70 on myself for a new lunch box and a speaker for my music for work. The other $100 bought a bunch of stuff for T's nursery.

I typically go shopping once in the spring and once in the fall for new clothes. I'll get several things then.

I'm like @mrsjyw! I sometimes go crazy and buy a lot and sometimes I go months without shopping for myself.

@Mrs. Pen: Oh, I hear you. Sometimes, when I am doing a closet clean out and I am putting stuff in that big, black bag, I have a bit of a panic attack when I think about what I could have spent that money on, or what it could be doing for me in investments.

At the end of the day, though, I feel it is very important for us as mothers to take care of ourselves and put as much thought into our wardrobes as we do for our children. It's relatively easy to dress my son as I've got a formula down, but I have extended the same principles to myself, so when I actually do buy something, I know it works and can work with everything else in my closet.

So, did you end up getting any sweaters?

Close to never. If I do it's usually because I have a gift card. I have gift cards from Christmas I still haven't used if that gives you any idea of how much stuff I buy myself!
