Just curious because it seems quite a few people mentioned that they sterilize every day. How often do you sterilize your pump parts and how do you do it? I have only sterilized mine twice since I started using it about 10 weeks ago. I just follow the instructions in the book and boil all the parts for the recommended time.

First couple months once a week. Then never! My LC said its really not necessary.

I wash the parts that touch milk every day, but I don't sterilize anything else.

I only sterilized when the parts were brand new!

I sterilize about every 3rd day and I use the Medela steam bags. They're awesome!!!!!

I put them in the dishwasher approx once a week. As far as boiling? Only when they were fresh out of the box

I sterilize after every use, but I have a really hand counter top sterilizer so I just pop them in, press the button, and five minutes later take the lid off for them to dry.

I sterilize every day but I also had a baby in the NICU and that is what they require.

I don't think I every boil steralized after the initial take it out of the box. I used the Medela microwave sterilization bags about five times in the 13months I was pumping.

I only sterilized when brand new! I wash the parts though every day. I have some steam bags so maybe I should sterilize too? With exclusively pumping/bottle feeding there's just too much involved in the feeding process as is!

I try to sterilize every weekend. I have a munchkin sterilizer, super convenient!
