We almost never do. However, at the end of the month we are going a few hours north for a night, with siblings. Then this summer for DH's 30th I am trying to plan a weekend getaway somewhere, but I'm so new to this weekend getaway thing that I'm stumped!
How often do you travel just for a night or two? Where was the last place you went or where are you planning to go soon?

We do pretty often! During ski season, we get a place in the catskills or the Poconos for the weekend. We always go see a concert in Philadelphia in the summer. We go up to Boston to see a friend of mine. I like quick/short little trips to mix things up.

a couple times a year usually. last time was VT with my mom to go to the king arthur baking school & next time is in a couple weeks to portland ME for a powerlifting meet

As often as we can!! 
usually ends up being every 3 months or so. We're planning a weekend down in Boston next month. We were going to take LO to see Frozen on ice, but tickets are $148/ea which is insanity. So, we'll go to the aquarium instead!!

@mrbee: I prefer the catskills because it's easier to get to from nyc and you can even take a bus. But I've had fun in the Poconos too. In the Catskills, we like staying near Hunter/Windham and Camelbak in the Poconos. We find houses on HomeAway and we've always had a good experience.

We go at least once or twice a year as a couple . We always do one the weekend before Thanksgiving. We went to DC this past Nov.

Pretty much never except to visit family a few hours drive away. If we go on a trip, it's at least a week long.

We've only done it once for only one night since our son was born 13 months ago. We went to a cute town about an hour away and had a casual dinner and relaxing night. We really should do it more often because it was so good for us!

Rarely. We live in Northern MI which is a vacation destination for many, so we do lots of staycations and get out and enjoy what's in our area.

Like once a month. We go to the beach a lot during the warmer months (which is most of the year in FL), and go to Orlando often for theme parks. We also regularly stay at my husband's family lake house and river house.
I don't think its worth it to drive more than 3 hours for just a couple of nights, so we typically stay within that range.

Almost never. Both our families live about 4 hours away from us in opposite directions so typically if we're doing a weekend trip it's to visit our parents. We got every 4-6 weeks for that.

Our weekend getaways are island hopping so we do that about 3 times a year. Usually Maui and Kauai

We used to go 3-4 times a year. I don't really buy a lot of "stuff" but I really need those breaks. Unfortunately we haven't been at all in the last year.

Not enough. We're trying to plan a weekend away for my 30th this march but everything I pick is soooo expensive. For the same price as a weekend in Napa we could do a week in Cuba/Mexico

It was easier when we were on the east coast, now I feel like everything takes too long to get to or is more like day trip distance.

Sigh, not very often now that we have a child. We used to pack up and go often but it's just not as easy. I wish we had a family vacation home we could go too, seriously something in the future when the kids are older I would like to look into if it's financially possible. A lake house or something to just get away but have a lot of stuff there so it's not as big of a "thing" to pick up and go.
