So, I am really bad about washing rugs. I won't even say how much I didn't wash them when we lived at the apartment. Do you wash your rugs? How often?

What type of rug? Our front hall rug is super easy to wash so I did it bi weekly or so? Our area rug.. I've never washed! Don't even know how I would! I guess I should get a steam cleaner and do our carpeted rooms and area rug!

I have thrown our bathroom rugs in the wash a couple times... but just regular rugs? I didn't know you had to!!! Eew, I must be gross!

@.twist.: I don't wash our regular rugs either. I'm on the gross list as well! I wash my bathroom rugs maybe every other month?

@.twist.: Hahaha!! I was thinking the same thing... we are renting and the house is part furnished.. there's this huge rug like 3mx3m in the living room and we have no idea how we would go about putting it into the washing machine! We've joked about putting one corner in at a time!

I wash our bathroom rugs like once a month but we have an area rug that needs a major cleaning and I have no idea what to do with it! I guess I'm gross. haha

@MrsBrewer: haha I am and am not ashamed to admit that I don't even wash our bathroom rugs that often.... although the shame does out weigh the not shamed by a bit.

Our bathroom rugs get washed ever week or two, depending on if I remember to throw them in with our towels.

Our small rugs like in bathroom get washed about once a month - but I'm really lazy so only reason that happens is because they are light and show dirt super easy

Hmm, I guess I'm one of the gross ones. I don't think I've ever washed any of our current rugs, but I have washed a few old ones when they were really bad.

Once every 3 months or so because I'm lazy. Plus the current washer in our rental sucks.

Oh wow I wash our bathroom rugs about 2x a year and vacuum them every other month or so... I guess I'm part of the dirty house club
I don't think we have any other rugs in the house... just carpet!

I have two identical bathroom mats and alternate them (and wash the dirty one) once a week. The rug in the lounge never gets washed as such but I do Hoover it weekly and use carpet freshener on it if that counts!

@Cherrybee: I use febreze on our rugs so I 100% agree that carpet freshener counts and no one can convince me otherwise.
