Mr. Bee and I watched The Martian tonight and we loved it! We won't get to watch movies in El Nido, and it reminded us of how much we used to watch movies pre-kids. Watching at home just doesn't match up to the experience of going to a theater.
The last movie I saw before this I think was Gone Girl. We probably see 3 movies a year, whereas before kids it was at least once a month.
How often do you watch movies in the theater?

Maybe once a year if there is a decent movie! I haven't been so far this year but dh has 2-3 times with his friends. ticket prices are insane ($17.50 per adult) at my local cinema.

We saw The Martian tonight too. Before that it was probably last February. I'm not really into movies and am usually content to just see things once they're at Redbox. It was funny being in a real theater tonight! We're in my DH's college town right now and I felt ancient surrounded by all the students!

3, maybe 4, times a year. We are big movie people, so if there's a movie we really want to see, we schedule a date night. We're lucky to have lots of family around.

Twice a month on $6 Saturday mornings. Then again, no kids yet 
But we look forward to the next couple of years of Redboxing with LOs at home!

Never anymore. Haven't since I was pregnant with LO! I do miss the popcorn though. It will be fun when we can take her.

Every time we have a date night! We love movies and going to the theater is probably our favorite thing.

I go 2-3 times per year, almost always with DH. He goes maybe another 3-4 times with friends. I'm really not into movie theaters so I use my "mommy's night out" time for other things. Pre-kids, we each went maybe 2-3 more times than we do now.

We have been twice in the past 3.5 years. It's just not that important to me anymore, I actually prefer bringing a Redbox home to watch instead. My husband asked if I wanted to go on our last date night, and I told him no, I'd much rather sit and share a bottle of wine somewhere we can talk and catch up on just us. I prefer to be doing other things while movies/tv is on and multitask.

ha...ha. I think we go once a year at Christmas. It's just too hard with the kids and I have been known to fall asleep in the theater during great movies since having kids. So it's not worth the money.

Once every few months. Usually we go as a family to the drive in, so if LO is cranky we don't disturb the whole world. But usually go after dinner & bath, so he's in bed mode. If there's a movie I really want to see & hear properly I will go on my own, or with friends. Date nights are sadly too scarce for us to use on movies anymore!

I go about once a year, when there is something that I feel really must be seen on the big screen. I don't love the experience - we've got more comfortable seating, better food, and a pause button at home! DH loves the movies, however, and will go every month if there are things out to see.

Once or twice a year we get to go together. But we sometimes go on our own if there is something one of us really wants to see.

We go at least once a month, sometimes more depending upon whats showing. We go to the drive in cinema, that way we don't have to try to find a babysitter.
