Daily, but I'm probably in the minority with that one...I'm guessing. They eat a really well diet overall, so I don't stress about it.

She gets some jelly beans (like maybe 5) every night if she eats her dinner. But it gets her to actually eat her veggies, eventually we will make it every two days, so it isn't every night.

Several times a week. But it's usually like one cookie or one mini sized piece of candy. Everything in moderation, I say!

I voted once every other week. Maybe once a week in July/August since I tend to buy them an ice cream when we are at the beach.

I think this will vary so much by age. Under 2 she never got sweets (maybe a few shared bites of cake at a birthday party)
Around 3 we let her have some sweets. She has a bag of Halloween/Easter candy and she will randomly ask if she can have one. Sometimes she'll have one treat from her bag for a week but then go another week or two without having any. If we go to a birthdays or parties she's allowed to have a serving of cake or dessert. In the summer I let her have ice cream/froyo as a treat (maybe twice a month). Everything in moderation. She's generally a good eater so I know her diet isn't a lot of sugary sweets

Rarely. So far she's had 2 candies and some brown sugar on oatmeal. We are a mostly GF house so not a lot of sweets around.

I put 1-3 times a week but that's really an average. There are some weeks he has a lot (daily) and some weeks he might not have anything.
He is a very good eater so I don't overthink it.

Daily and while I'm the parent and am technically the boss it's a hard situation for me. We see MIL and my husbands grandmother once or twice a day. My MIL isn't too bad about it but my husband grandmother gives them cookies and marshmallows and FIL likes to give her Gatorade and peppermints. It starts out as an okay thing and now it's become expected so even if she somehow doesn't request it, they always always offer. I want it to stop but I don't know how to keep it from being a thing. But we never have cookies or marshmallows or cans or cake at home so I guess it's okay. I hate it so much though and feel stuck.

Whenever we do, which is maybe once a week average, sometimes more sometimes less. We don't keep treats in the house so they aren't usually around. I have nothing against a little treat daily if it was around - everything in moderation! DH has portion control problems, so we just don't keep snacks and treats in the house. She doesn't get it as a reward or anything, just whenever we feel like it.

17 months and we'll go out for ice cream sometimes or give her some bites of our dessert. She likes animal crackers and gets those a couple times of week. Other than those probably only once a month.

DD doesn't get dessert every single day, but definitely over half the days of the week I will let her have something after a meal.

A few times per month at most, but usually not more than a bite or two because she isn't really into sweets. She usually turns down the offer, unless it is Oreos! Now, if we were asking about chips or pickles, the answer would be very different!

Maybe once a week? I keep those fruit snack packs for emergencies if she needs to take a chill pill mostly when we're out.

Couple times per week, usually on weekends. If she gets dessert at all on a normal day, we limit it to fruit. We tend to see grandparents on weekends though, and I swear they think it is their job to feed her sugar.

Probably daily. Both me and dh have a sweet tooth. Me with cookies and him with candy. Haha we only let them have alittle tho and only for good behavior.

Now that we're potty training- daily. He gets a Skittle when he uses the potty. He eats Popsicles daily too. All in moderation.

daily. LO is 3.5 years old. i think about 6 months ago it became a daily thing, before that it was a few times a week. my husband and i have serious sweet tooths, and i don't see much benefit to fighting with LO about it when we ourselves have dessert every day.
pomelo / 5866 posts
Every other day. DH is the main reason for this. LO could say chocolate before she even knew what candy was. She learned that from her grandpa when she was 2. The sweet tooth runs on the male side of the family.

Hmm, dailyish or every other day? This summer lo became very aware of the Pinkberry (frozen yogurt) right around the corner from her daycare/in front of our bus stop and asked for it almost every day. The "mini" portion is very small and she gets it with fruit, and often doesn't finish it, so I don't stress about it. Before she always asked for blueberry muffins as a snack, so also not really that bad of a "sweet" but still not great. She's tiny though (25th percentile) so I don't really stress. She rarely has other kinds of sweets (I like to have dessert at night but wait til she's asleep!)

I didn't vote because I'm not sure what counts as a sweet. He has some teddy grahams almost every day for a little afternoon snack but we don't do dessert at home, at all. We might go out for ice cream 1 or 2x month or if we eat at Moe's we let him have the cookie that comes with his meal.
I grew up with a crazy sweet tooth (I still struggle with keeping it in check )and DS is very similar so we work really hard at trying to teach him moderation and really appreciating a special treat.

A couple times a week. She loves going to the bakery near our house and is obsessed with their muffins, so she usually gets one of those on a weekend day. And one of our main grocery stores gives out kids' cookies, so she generally gets one at the end if she's been good while we shop. Sometimes the grocery store "runs out" of kids' cookies, though...funny how that always happens when we've had a few days in a row with too many sweets.

Depends on the definition of sweets! If bunny Graham's count - then daily. If we're talking real cookies or ice cream then maybe a small amount every 1-2 weeks. Totally depends on the situation though, sometimes more and sometimes less. I have a huge sweet tooth and I want to teach her moderation so she's likely to get 1-2 bites of something on a semi regular basis.

Fairly regularly. I'd say fruit, smoothie, ice cream or chocolate is often daily and sometimes multiple times. We do avoid foods that have hidden extra sugars or corn syrup.

DS doesn't have a big sweet tooth, which is awesome, so i'll give it to him whenever he asks for it. which is rare. And when he does, he just wants a few bites before saying he's done with it. He's 3.
persimmon / 1467 posts
We usually save the desserts for after he goes to bed, but if he sees it and asks I'll give him some after a meal. At 2.5 he's still pretty oblivious.

It was about 3 times a week (he is 2.5 years old) but after last week, thanks to MIL, it's been daily. We went on vacation together and she fed cookies to all the grandkids during dinner to encourage eating their meals. I'm trying to ease it out of him this week, but it kind of sucks because he actually is eating new foods.

Probably daily. Today he got a cookie after dinner that my BIL and SIL brought over. Yesterday he had a popsicle. I bet tomorrow we get an ice cream. He eats healthy so I don't stress about it too much.

I voted 1-3 times a week - which is how often I give DS sweets. However, I realized that at his preschool's summer camp they often give him popsicles in the afternoon and do a baking project about once a week. So it is probably more like 5 or 6 days a week. Today was his last day at this preschool so I took him for ice cream... I later discovered he'd baked cookies AND had a popsicle at school He was bouncing off the walls. I put 4 different veggies on his plate for dinner.
