I’ve been bathing my baby girl every night pretty much since birth to establish a bedtime routine. I got to thinking tonight that maybe that’s too much. Just wondering what others do. She’s 5 months.

Every day. Also 5 months. But I’m ok skipping one night if it’s an off day (like crap nap day and need to do an emergency early bedtime).

We bathed LO once a week when he was under two years old. Now he takes showers with me 2-3 a week.
I used this product if I thought he needed more than just a wipes wipe down. https://www.mustelausa.com/no-rinse-cleansing-water-300ml

Once a week. We just started doing more frequent baths, 2 or 3/week this summer. Ds will be 3 in nov. He has very sensitive skin though

About 3 times a week for the baby and the three year old. Sometimes more if he’s been wearing sunscreen.

Every night for both my girls since about 2 weeks old. Totally more necessary the older they get.

When they were babies, every two or three days but by five months we were doing it daily as part of the bedtime routine.

We’ve never been an every day kind of family. My older one used to hate baths and get so worked up so t never worked well as a calm part of her bedtime routine. So yeah usually 2-3 times a week. We still do that at 2.5 and 5 years old.

My first got a bath almost nightly after starting daycare at 4 months and still does at 6.5 years old. My second.... he maybe got a bath once every two weeks? He hated baths until he was over a year old. Now at almost 20 months he gets a bath a few times a week.

before solids, about once a week. especially during colder months- their skin can get so dried out and irritated. After we start solids (baby led weaning) we usually have to do a quick rinse off after dinner every night. And then in summer months, once they are mobile, they almost always need one every night. Winter is less frequent.
We still only use soap/shampoo once a week for my 5 1/2 year old. And rarely do we use soap for my two year old. Water gets him cleaned up, and his sensitive skin reacts to too much washing.
ETA: we never use soap on a little baby.

8 week old 3/4 times a week depending on how things are going
2.5 year old nightly although he misses one at least a week due to our activities and schedule

First kid: every night
Second kid: every 7-10 days.
Also, eta: I’ve noticed far less skin irritations with my second. Less patchy redness, less heat rash. I don’t know if it’s just the kid but they both appear to have similar skin at baseline (both get irritations due to heat or topicals) but his skin seems to be more resilient. I don’t know if that’s because we bathe him less.

Less than once a week when my son was young- maybe twice a month? It was winter, he was tiny and I didn't want to make him more fussy than he was. He also never had blow outs and never spit up so he was extremely clean! He always smelled delicious and never had dry skin, allergies or rashes. I'm so glad now we never got into the routine and we don't have to do a nightly bath - bedtime is long enough!

We've always done every other night for both our kids unless they are super dirty.

Bathing was part of my son's night routine since he was very small, I want to say even though we didn't give him full bath with washed hair every night, he was washed every single night in the tub. It really was a calming thing for him.

2-3 times a week although my goal is every other day Somehow it just never happens. DS is 2.5 and it’s always been the same!

DD loves bathtime! We include it as part of her bedtime routine, so we do it every night but we use soap only every other night to not dry out her skin. Otherwise it's just water. Still refreshing. Besides how much she loves it, I feel better with her in daycare washing off the gunk of the day. My coworker's niece was getting sick a lot and their ped suggested a nightly bath because of daycare so I'm glad we do it. If she's having an off night we can skip it here or there but it really does help with having a routine.

Bathe my 3 year old girl once or twice a week. We did more like EOD when she was a baby, but I don’t have the same amount of time or energy now that she’s a toddler.

DD was bathed once a week or less when she was teeny. I don't think we increased the frequency until she started solids at 6 months.
Now, at 2.5, she takes a bath 2-3 times a week.

I'm an "every-other-day" kinda mom. I bathe every day but I alternate my kids' bathing days. My 10-year-old showers every other day (evenings) and may take a quick bath in the morning if she needs it. My 3-year-old gets a bath on the nights my daughter doesn't shower and, in the mornings, I either quickly "wash cloth" him down or I use Mustela physiobebe no rinse cleansing water and Burt's Bees baby oil on him as he has really dry skin. . I just LOVE the baby-clean smell.

Son is nearly 2 1/2 and he showers with husband or I almost daily because he loves the water; but he probably only gets soaped up a couple times a week.

Both my girls were winter babies. During fall/winter we only bathe once a week (of course, more if warranted, but we try to just wipe down). In the summer, it's as needed so some weeks almost everyday/every other day, some weeks 2x a week, etc.

Once/week. We've experimented, and it does definitely bother his eczema, though we moisturize very thoroughly as soon as he comes out of the tub. So we bathe once a week but wipe down as needed.

Every day as part of the bedtime routine. 5yo and 2yo like to take a bath together. Wash hair every other day. Not a big deal if we skip nights here or there. DD1 usually does a great job of getting dirty at pre-k, so she actually does need it.
We've been doing the nightly bath since babyhood. When really young, probably every other night.

We started out at once a week (or once every 7-10 days)
Now that he's eating purees, it's probably 2-3 times a week, based on how messy he gets. If it's too hard to just wipe him down, we'll do a quick bath.
He has eczema, so I don't want to overwash him

When my kids were babies, and even now that they are preschool age, we usually bathe them every other day.

We’re at 1-2 times a week now at 3.5 months old. Was 1x a week before. My older two are at 3ish times a week because it’s summer and they get sweaty but then we’re also in the pool and rinse there.
