We were putting her down at 9:30, but she is so cranky we want to move it to 8.

We tried putting her down earlier at 8:30 last night. She fell right asleep but got up 45 mins later because she got her hands out of her swaddle. So, then we tried everything to get her back to sleep and she finally slept from 10:30 - 5:30.

@travelgirl1: I can’t remember exactly when she started going to bed earlier, but it was before 12 weeks since that’s when I went back to work. She mostly just did it on her own – started giving tired cues earlier so we started trying to get her down by 10, then 9, then 8. We also instituted bath/bottle/bed routine, which helped A TON. I cannot recommend getting into a routine enough! Even if it takes them a bit to get into the routine, it pays in the long run. LO is all conditioned now; as soon as she gets out of the tub and gets her bottle, she starts to fall asleep.

My LO was completely nocturnal when she was born; so it is possible for them to come a looooooooooooooong way in a relatively short period of time. Hang in there mamas!

3 1/2 months, and it used to be 9 but this week she has been deciding that 8 is her new bedtime, we aren't complaining! I will eventually move it up to 7 if I can get her to do it!
