DH and I got together when I was 23 (which sounds really young now, but at the time I'd been working abroad and living on my own for over two years, so I do feel like I had a fair bit of independent time).
Honestly? I kinda wish I'd dated more before meeting DH. I don't regret anything about our relationship, and I'm glad to have skipped the relationship dramas with jerks that I saw other friends go through, but I barely dated in college and feel like I never really got to experience and enjoy casual dating as a young person. DH says he also kind of wishes I'd done more casual dating so I'd have a better understanding of how wacky and messed up other people can be and how good we have it

I totally wished I dated more before meeting hubs. We did break up a couple of times during our relationship, but I think we both knew in the back of our minds that we would end up back together. I only dated 2-3 people during those breaks, and he only dated 1.
I didn't get to really experience dating in my teens or 20s at all!

One week before my 19th birthday! I think meeting him at that time kept me from failing out of college or making some bad (alcohol-fueled) dating decisions... I was quite the party girl for that first year of college!

@mrbee: I started dating DH when I was 21 & he was 22 so we really only had HS & college for rough dating lives!

I met my husband when I was 18 and he was 25. He was at my high school graduation (as a friend). We started dating a couple weeks after that. We got married when I was 21. I'm 23 now. I never really experienced dating. I'm not upset about it though!
