We are currently 1 cycle into TTC #2. With DS, it took 9 months and 2 cycles of Clomid to get pregnant. After I stopped birth control, my first cycle was 26 days, my next around 32 days, and the following 2 cycles were 70+ days.
I am experiencing heavy spotting today, on CD27 of my first post-BC cycle. If this turns into full on AF, that means this first cycle will be 26 days...and the dejavu starts.
Were your experiences TTCing similar or different?

They were sort of similar. It took over a year and a half and 2 miscarriages to get pregnant with LO1. I didn't go back on hormonal birth control in between my LOs, and my cycles actually regulated to around 30 days after I had him. I had 2 more miscarriages, went to see a fertility specialist, had uterine surgery and got pregnant with LO2 on the first try after my surgery. So they were similar in that I had 2 miscarriages before pregnancy with both of them, but I didn't go on birth control in between.

With my daughter I got pregnant the first month we tried.
Still TTC #2 but I've had an ectopic, two MCs and numerous chemicals.
So vastly different.

Super different. My first was 5 years of infertility, 8 IUIs, a miscarriage, and 2 rounds of IVF. #2 was a surprise when #1 was 17 months old and we were just starting to have the "do we want a second?" discussion.

DD 2.5yrs of IF, IUI ,miscarriages and she came from a break and a cruise lol
DS was conceived 14 months later with NTNP and my cycle back for only 3 months

Very similar. Got pregnant on 2nd cycle of trying, MC , then a pregnancy that stuck @ 2nd cycle after MC. Both times.

Mine were really similar at first, but different in actually conceiving them.
LO1 - Got pregnant after 1 cycle, missed m/c at 10 weeks, waited one cycle, then got pregnant after 2 more cycles.
LO2 - Got pregnant after 1 cycle, missed m/c at 12 weeks, waited one cycle, had a chemical at the next cycle, tried one more cycle, then decided to take a break. 2 months later, I was shocked to find out I was pregnant even though we were actively preventing.

Similar. I get pregnant easily, but don't stay pregnant easily. My first took 4 well timed cycles and one loss. My second took 5 cycles and 3 losses.

Completely different. DD1 was conceived via donor embryo after 4 years of TTC and lots of infertility treatments. DD2 was a complete surprise. She was conceived when DD1 was 13 months old during my first postpartum cycle.

So far, pretty different:
Baby #1-- took 8 months total but that included a chemical pregnancy and nearly 12 week loss. I got pregnant each month I used opks and had timed intercourse
Baby #2-- going into my fourth cycle and *crickets*

Very similar. I've always had 22 day cycles so my doc said there is a good chance I was not ovulating at all due to the closeness, however it appears that I just ovulate more often than most - DD1 we got pregnant the first try, DD2 it was the second month of trying.

1st: 10 months of TTC with a MC in there and very irregular cycles. Tried Clomid + met + progesterone and got pregnant on that cycle (my first "normal" cycle in terms of O date)
2nd: Charted for 4 months but avoided, then used met & progesterone & got pregnant on the first TTC cycle... hopefully it sticks!

Pretty different. Highlights of both:
First time:
pregnant first month we tried, MC at 7 weeks
pregnant 2nd month we tried after first MC, ended in another MC. Discovered my translocation. Was advised to do IVF with PGD.
First cycle of IVF was textbook and perfect. 13 eggs retrieved. got one normal embryo out of 8 tested. That's my now 2.75yo. In total took 1 year to conceive him.
2nd time:
Straight to IVF.
First round: very poor response, ended up retrieving 6. No normals.
2nd round: still poor response, 8 retrieved with no normals. RE strongly suggested donor eggs.
3rd round: tried one last time on new protocol and ended up with 17 retrieved and 2 normals!
Accidentally got pregnant on my own before transfer and ended in chemical.
One year later and I'm now very very newly pregnant from a transfer 2 weeks ago.
So total amount of time was same I guess, but very different series of events leading up to it. I naively thought I'd just have to do one round of IVF for my 2nd child and I'd be done.

Pretty similar. Pregnant on the first try with the first three pregnancies (1 miscarriage) and this time it took 3 months.

Ds first cycle
Dd first cycle but ended in mc. (Bpf in early June, mc end of July)
Skipped a cycle.
Tried and didn't work.
Tried and pregnant. Took about 5 months from the start of ttc. (Bpf October)

Different but in retrospect I was able to get pregnant quickly each time. W lo1, I got pregnant after 4 cycles. With lo2, I got pregnant on the first cycle but it was a cp, then waited 2 months, then got pregnant again after the second cycle of trying again

Both similar and different LOL. My first two were both on my first round of Clomid, but my first was at the 12 month mark and my second was at the three-month mark.
My third child was also at the three month mark, but no clomid, I used vitex instead.

First time:
Pregnant on first cycle. MC at 10 weeks
Started trying 2 months later, 3 cycles, pregnant with LO #1
Second time:
4 cycles and currently pregnant without LO #2 but pretty near constant worry about a MC

Pretty different.
#1 - was a surprise pregnancy while I was on in the pill.
#2 - ttc for 15 months, had a miscarriage at the 12 month mark and got a sticky baby 3 months later. We were in the beginning of getting fertility testing done when I got pregnant.
#3 - happened first cycle of ttc. I was very surprised since I figured it would take a few months at least.

I had completely different experiences. My first experience I was pregnant the first cycle I tried and my second took 14 months and two miscarriages until I conceived my daughter.

My second/third were completely opposite from my first.
My first took about 13 months of actively TTC (and a miscarriage during that time). My second and third were both first try babies.

Very different. It took 8 cycles of very well-timed intercourse and/or insemination to get pregnant with LO.
This time around I got pregnant on my second cycle despite so-so timing. That pregnancy miscarried, and I got pregnant again before getting a post-miscarriage period (also only so-so timing). That pregnancy was also a dud.
Hoping I can get pregnant again just as quickly, but, with a sticky pregnancy.

Very different. DD was first cycle trying (after 2 months off BC). DS took a year from when we started trying (but had a MC in there so several months of not trying there).

Very different, We conceived #1 almost exactly a year after I stopped birth control pills. I had mild PCOS and needed to start a low-glycemic index diet, use methods to increase CM, and chart my cycles to figure out when I was ovulating.
#2 we were pregnant on the second cycle after IUD removal. I employed all the charting techniques I had learned with #1 and I really think my body had taken a long time to regulate after stopping the pill.

First: close to 5 months of TTC. I think I had a chemical the month previous to conceiving
Second: 3 months of TTC. I went off the pill around the time of a wedding in July and conceived by September

Pretty different for all 3 kids. With my first I went off BC and my period was really irregular for several months and I don't think I was ovulating at all. After about 7-8 months things started to regulate and I had an early mc after 10 months and then pregnant with LO1 right around a year in.
LO2, I never went on bc and we really didn't prevent. I was nursing and had 1 instance of spotting 10 months pp then pregnant a month later.
Lo3, we only ttc one cycle. Despite having a few regular cycles once I got my period back, that one I ovulated late. It would have been about a 45 day cycle.

Completely different. TTC #1 I had PCOS, never ovulated on my own, took about 1 year or taking Provera every CD45, and then finally on the 1st round of Clomid I got pregnant.
With #2, I got pregnant the 1st cycle after weaning from breastfeeding! I ended up miscarrying at 8 weeks, but then again, I didn't even get a period, and about 4 weeks after I miscarried I got pregnant again. Now I'm 34.5 weeks with baby#2!

Mine were a night and day difference. Baby #1- Years, surgeries and IVF. Currently 35 weeks with #2- Happened 2nd month trying. You just never know!
