LO goes to bed at 8pm and her morning starts anywhere from 6:40 to 7:40am, depending on when she woke up for a morning feed. This morning she woke up at 6am for a feed and instead of starting the day at 6, i put her back in her crib right after feeding her.
Do you guys have a wakeup range or is it on the nose? Do you wake up your LO or does he/she start the day for you?
(LO is 23 weeks, a little over 5 months)

we have a wakeup range from 6 to 6:45. I let her sleep until she wakes up

During the week, yes. Because we have to get her to daycare. So if she's not awake, we'll get her up at 6;20. During the weekend, we'll take as much sleep as she'll give us!

On weekdays I wake her up at 6am, breastfeed her and then put her back in her crib while I prepare her bottles, pump and get dressed for work which takes about an hour. Then I wake her up again around 7,15 and dress her up for daycare.

DS is close in age to yours; he has a range of wakeup times, but I don't take him out of his crib until 6:30 at the earliest. He's up anytime between 6 and 7, and if he wakes up early I just turn on his lights and sound projector until I'm done getting ready.

C is 5.5months. I am not strict, but she generally wakes up at the same time on her own, between 8 and 8:30.

I let her sleep until she wakes. She is my little alarm clock. I love waking up to her "talking"

we have a huge wakeup range and it never seems to affect her naps or night time sleep. it's usually around 7-8:30 am.

i wake olive up at 7:30 even though it pains me since i'm not a morning person. she will sleep until 8:30 if i let her, but to keep her on her schedule she needs to be up by 7:30.
on the weekends i let her sleep in.

DD wakes up at 7 usually, a few times a week she sleeps until 8 but it doesn't really effect her naps.

@Mrs. Bee: @Goldilocks1107: Are they able to easily switch back to their regular schedules after sleeping in on the weekends? Since i am still on mat leave, there are days where i am just so tempted to let her sleep in so i can get more sleep myself!

I let him wake up whenever he wants. Usually it's 7:30 -8:00. He's never gone past 8:30 so we'll just let him wake up on his own.

When LO was that age (5months), I let her wake up whenever. It was usually between 6-7:30am anyway. As she got older, her wake up time was consistently between 6-7am so I just let her do whatever.
How late could she sleep?

We use to all commute together at that age, so I would wake her up right before 7, feed her and usually she'd go back to sleep in the car. Now, she wakes up between 6-645am. I don't ever wake her up. Both days this weekend she woke up at 7:30, it was like she knew it was the weekend!! I think us getting up around 615 and moving around the house might be waking her up a bit during the week.

@caffeinated: yup it's only about an hour - hour and a half difference. she will wake up at 8:30 if i don't wake her. then she will nap for 2 hours instead of an hour and a half, and her bedtime ends up being 8 instead of 6:30.

Nope! Let him sleep as long as he wants. He is usually awake by 7. Not back to work yet though so I haven't been confronted with the need to wake him.

I never wake him up unless I need to be somewhere!!
He wakes up anytime between 6:30-9am. But generally it's around 7-7:30am. He still goes to bed at the same time but I'm not a stickler for a strict scheduler.
And he wakes me up every morning.

@Rubies: this one morning after a rough night she slept until 9:30am! I was too tired to even care, as i welcomed the extra sleep.
