LO will be 7 months in 2 weeks, and coming up on the weight limit for the swing! We are STILL napping in the swing. I have tried to lay him down in the crib but he wakes up and cries 5 minutes later. Any tips or suggestions???

C was a swing addict too. Just start a little it every day and gradually he'll get used to it.

Consistency. Start a pre-nap routine and stick with it. You may need to clear your schedule for several days (some people say weeks?) to get it to stick. We're working on getting LO to go to sleep on her own. It's actually going really well, but this time is the first time that we've stuck to our guns for more than a day or two. The pre-nap routine really helps!

I agree, if you want him to nap in the crib try and start a routine. Why dont you try it with one nap a day? The first nap of the day may be the easiest. Even if he only naps for a few minutes, you are at least getting him used to the idea of being put in a crib. You may go through a tough transition phase, but it will be worth it!
