If you used to nurse or rock to sleep and you started using the EASY thing, how did you make the transition? C is 10 weeks tomorrow and her sleep is just getting worse and worse. She's always had a hard time napping but now even her night stretches are getting shorter, and she is just impossible to get to sleep. Today she took one hour long nap. We spent combined hours trying to get her to sleep throughout the day but it is just not happening. Obviously at this point we have a crazy overtired baby.
So I'm going to try the Baby Whisperer method but I know it will be a rough transition. How did you do it? When she's crying in the crib do you keep picking up and putting back down? Or just patting and shushing? I read the book cover to cover but her picture is a little rosier than what I know i will be dealing with. She seems to be a "touchy" baby, fwiw.
We can't go on like we are. Everyone is miserable. We can't even rock or nurse her to sleep most of the time now. Nights are better but not great. During the day I'd be willing to hold her for a whole nap but she won't even stay asleep that way.
