Assuming the pool isn't heated, at what outside temp are you comfortable taking your LO into a pool? I've never taken LO swimming, but plan to soon. Just wondering what other people do!
ETA: She'll be 8 months old next week, but at least 9 1/2 months before we take her swimming.

I would assume it is strongly correlated to LO age. The younger the child - the warmer the water has to be. Also the colder the water the shorter the time you should spend in the water...

Pretty warm. Our pool isn't heated at the moment and it's too cold most of the summer to really enjoy, so we're getting the heater replaced.

I will start using it in April but the water won't be warm enough for the LOs until May or June. I like the water to be in the mid to high 80s for them.
@looch: I want a pool heater!

@lawbee11: I'd say you'd want the temp to be in the 80s at least. The pool we have been taking LO to since he was 12w old has a water temp of 94. I'd just try it and see that you have a towel on hand. Kids start shaking and getting blue lips really quickly so if you see any of that you'll want her out of the water asap.

I would say at least 80s! The local pool at the community center was in the 70s and my friend told me her it was way too cold for her DS who is a couple months older than my DS.

Minimum 85. We went for the first time this weekend but didn't stay too long because it wasn't quite warm enough.

Probably mid 80s. But I won't get into a pool when the water is much colder than that, so it's not a big deal!

I took DD in a (heated salt water) pool at three months. It was on the 70s outside.
