LO did great at drop off on her first day but then cried the second half of the day. Yesterday she was slow to warm up but didn't cry and finally participated. Hoping today goes even better!

My son started first grade yesterday, and it went pretty well! Only one kid cried, and that was due to an accident - not to first-day separation anxiety!!

@Bao: I'm glad the second day went okay!
First day went great. She saw a new Frozen puzzle she never did so she ran to that and barely said good-bye.

First day was ok. He seemed ok as we were saying goodbye but when we actually went to leave he bolted from his chair and clung to me while crying. 
His teachers said it didn't take him long to calm down and he was good the rest of the morning, chatty and playing.
But that night he begged me not to take him back and started crying about it again. He said "Next time I just stay home with you mommy." and "Why you want to leave me mommy?" Cue heartbreak and I'm now considering homeschooling through college.
I'm sure he's going to cry tomorrow (his second day) but I hope he warms up fast!
