I've read 100 different things. Leave it alone, wash with just warm water, apply lotion, don't apply lotion...etc.
What worked for you, if anything? I know it goes away with time but it looks terrible. :(. I don't suspect its eczema or anything. Looks like textbook baby acne.

SHOULD I apply lotion to his face? I feel like that made it worse but when i stopped his skin got dry.

I mainly left it alone, but applied a little breastmilk. It vanished with time.

Breastmilk or nothing. It clears up, and breastmilk was hit or miss for my LO.

We finally used soap on his face in the bath and it went away within 24 hours. His skin got a little dry then, so we used a little lotion. As long as we washed his face with soap once a week, he was fine. If we waited any longer, he would get baby acne again. After four months or so, we were able to stop using soap again.

Yes - I just left it alone and it cleared up on its own. She developed it at around 2 weeks and I felt terrible about it but it cleared up in another few weeks.

Nothing worked on my LO. It looked absolutely horrible, but sure enough, it did clear up on it's own.

I just gently wiped her face with a soft, wet cloth occasionally, nothing else. It was mostly gone after about two weeks (weeks 4-6 were the worst).

At every bath, I would wet a washcloth and immediately wipe his face before any soap or any other body part. Then after the bath I would out breastmilk on the affected areas and that was it. It eventually cleared up! I feel like lotion may exacerbate the problem and may even effect the way the skin is able to narmalize itself...but that's just me and I'm a FTM so I really know next to nothing about this stuff haha

@Danizaur: don't! I mean, my ped said do nothing and it will clear up. It will in a couple of weeks! LO had it! Ped said normal and nbd.

I used soap on her face and a tiny bit of lotion (basically ran my hand over face after applying lotion to the rest of her body). I think these things helped? Or it just went away on its own. Probably the latter. Ha

I left it alone and it went away on its own. I did put some BM in his bath every now then though since that generally moisturizes.

Breast milk! DD2 had terrible baby acne so I dabbed expressed milk on her face after every feed and let it air dry for a few minutes. It took about a week and a half but it cleared up and she now has perfect baby skin again.

I just put breastmilk on it a few times a day but it went away on its own.

I think the best thing you can do is leave it alone and learn how to use the blur tool in Photoshop!

We left it alone and it cleared up. If any patches got really bad looking, I used a bit of breastmilk.
