Where did you put your humidifier? We put ours on DS dresser one night and the next morning the dresser and wall behind the dresser were covered in water droplets. We are at a loss as to where we should put it!

We had that problem when we used the crane humidifier for one night. We typically use a homedics one and don't have that problem.

We have the Crane teardrop shaped one in our room and I barely use it because I unfortunately run into this problem everywhere - if it's not the wall, it's damp carpet or warping my wooden dresser
For LO's room, since we use it so often I got one that doesn't emit a visible mist. One of the Vicks brand ones with the star projector built into it. I also love it for night when he's plugged up, I can just put a Vick's tablet in the slot on it and it does amazing things for his congestion!

I used a chair with a towel underneath the humidifier placed in the middle of the room, not too close to crib. Also laid a towel underneath the chairs to protect carpet.

We have a crane drop too. We only use it when she's sick but I put on a (upside down) plastic laundry basket with a towel under it. Kind of silly.

ours went from dresser to on top of toy piano to window sill.

@citymouse: try calling Crane directly? I know some people who have the tear drop and haven't had the moisture issues. So I wonder if it's a manufacturer defect?

We have the Crane frog humidifier, and it's sitting in front of the window on its box. I like that I can control how much mist comes out. We haven't had any issues.

Ours sits on a dresser and we use a fan, which helps distribute the mist. I do notice some build up on the dresser top occasionally, though.

We have the Crane and never had this problem. It is on the bookshelf near the crib. We keep the ceiling fan on a all night.
