Which humidifier do you have and what is it's capacity? Would you suggest getting a higher capacity one or is 1 gallon okay?

I have an one gallon Hello Kitty humidifer. I only run it when she is decongested and it has been fine for us!

We also have a crane humidifier- the cow one. But haven't used it yet.

We got the smaller one for LO's room because of the size of her room. The largers one are apparently for "medium to large rooms" so we got the smaller one. It's the Vicks hot steam humidifier.

We have the same one as @MungBean. One gallon has been plenty big for us and usually lasts through the night. We don't use ours all the time though, only when DS is sick.

We have the Crane Cool Mist Humidifier (this one http://www.amazon.com/Crane-Gallon-COOL-humidifier-White/dp/B001ADL1SG) and love it. The 1 gallon capacity gets us through the night no problem, and we only use it when she has colds or is congested.
