I am tossing our vicks cool mist humidifier. It's been excellent, but there is an area that I cannot access to clean....and I saw the beginnings of mold in that area (FREAKING OUT). It's going in the trash.
Can you recommend a humidifier that is easy to clean and where you don't have mold concerns?

I second the Crane. We have two of the drop shape cool mist humidifier and really like them.

We have crane frog, and it can be a pain to clean certain areas but I bought a cheap bottle brush and it's been fine!

We have the Crane elephant. DH does all the cleaning, and I haven't heard him complain.

We also have the Crane drop and it's easy to clean + no filter. It's been great so far!

@winniebee: where are you seeing mold? I have that same one and now am starting to worry.

@winniebee: Did you have the filter free Vicks humidifier? That's the one we have and we've already had to replace it once because of mold. We make sure to wash the new one weekly now though and only use distilled water in it and we haven't had any mold issues since.

@Jennimac: if you take the bottom of the base off and then remove the "filter" there is a circular piece that you cannot clean under. I can see into the innards of the machine and it was black and my husband agreed it was mold.
@kiddosc: Yep that's the one! Did you call for a replacement? I'm not even sure I want it again even if free
