So sorry to hear that! DH lost his job right before Thanksgiving last year and we had to cancel DS's first birthday party because we just couldn't afford it, but it ended up being a good thing because he know has a more stable job, doing something he loves, and making more money. Praying for the same outcome for your DH!

Thanks everyone for the support! DH was only in his interview for 15 minutes (he sent a text saying "heading home.") I hope the fact that it was only 15 minutes isn't a bad thing.

DH said it went pretty well and that there were only 3 or 4 other names on the interview list. Should find out by the end of this week.

unemployment sucks. I know it's hard, but try and stay positive.

He has another job interview today! The pay is less than what he makes now but the insurance pretty much makes up for it. The commute is longer 40 minutes vs 20 but it's the grade and subject he wants.

"He" sent an email yesterday around 4 expressing his continued interest in the job and explaining how we could also be a good fit for a different job they are hiring for (he's credentialed in two subjects.) DH said he would tell me if he heard anything today and...*crickets*

So, DH didn't get the one from a few weeks ago but he has three interviews this week! One of them was from the most recent school for a different position and another is for the school I teach at. Hoping one of these works out!!!

@catomd00: So much word on unemployment sucking. DH's unemployment has been harder on me than when we were in marriage counseling for my crazy MIL. My DH's industry is supposed to be pretty active and easy to transition from jobs, but no one's biting here.
