I'm sorry that I'm flying in to ask a quick question...We are in a world of madness trying to get set up in our new house! I'm hoping to be "back" soon!
H has had a rash around her mouth (no bumps, just red skin) for a little over a week. At first, we were Rxed Bactroban ointment and used that, very little improvement. So we went back to the ped yesterday, saw a different Dr, and he said it's contact dermatitis, and Rxed Hydrocortisone 2.5%, so prescription strength. I put it on her last night right before bed so I didn't see her too much after putting her down. This morning, I put it on her and her face is more red in some of the areas I applied it. Is it normal for hydrocortisone to make it a little more red at first?
I'm so sick of this rash! I called the nurse but still waiting on a call back...So I figured I'd post a quick question to the experts here:).
I was so happy we got rid of it. It did come back once but that same ointment got rid of it in a day again, and we haven't seen it since. Your peds will prob do the same thing.. Try ointments for fungal, bacterial, etc. Before they prescribe something super strong.
