Try Dr Brown's. It sounds like she might be having some tummy gas issues. C had bad gas too (we were using Avent first and then Playtex VentAire) and it seemed to clear up after we switched to the Dr Bs.

Another vote for Dr. Brown's--the bottles are a PITA to clean but they really helped to decrease the amount of air my LO swallowed during feedings.

@blackbird: dr. browns has a standard bottle/nipple and also a wide bottle/nipple--the wide one is supposed to mimic breastfeeding more (not sure i believe that although it is the one i use because i'm a sucker for gimmicking/marketing, apparently). walgreens probably has the standard, but it may not have the wide--at least that's how it was at my walgreens.

LO used to have really bad gas problems, and i think had some reflux as well. we ended up using dr. brown's, but to be honest i think it was just time and his system maturing that made things better. still, i was willing to do anything to make it better.

If you do think it's gassiness I also suggest stopping halfway to burp rather than just at the end.

Another Dr. Brown's user here! We were having a lot of gas and air issues...he would gulp and take in so much air...what type of formula are you using? We found that LO couldn't stomach (literally) the Enfamil Infant formula and had to use Gentlease after the Newborn as well.

@blackbird: Gas in the tummy is still considered gas. You can also try putting gas drops in her bottles. We did that for a while too.

we used the drop-ins exclusively --- i think they mimic the size of a real nipple/breast pretty good --- one thing you can try (That we did) was after getting her latched on, use your finger to flange out her top and bottom lips. it looks kinda hilarious because is pretty darn big compared to the tiny baby, but i don't think it is uncomfortable for them? it worked for us

@blackbird: You really may need to be burping more. A will act exactly like this if we go to burping less. I can't stress enough how much it has helped us to burp each oz and use the gas drops in the bottles!

I second, third, fourth (?) Dr. Browns. E had terrible/painful gas issues and I think the bottles helped her a lot. Gas drops helped too; for a period of time we would give her a dropper of the gas drops before every bottle, which seemed to help a little, too. Probiotics (powdered) seemed to help some, too. (It's hard to nail down exactly what helped most, but using all these things in conjunction helped overall) also, holding her more upright to feed was one of the doctor's suggestions, bicycling her legs midway through a bottle, pressing legs to chest midway through a bottle, and not letting her gulp down the milk - which meant feeding, then pulling out the nipple, giving it back, over and over again until she calmed a bit and ate normally.
