I went right into a totally normal, 28 day cycle. So my last "period" on BCP was almost acting as a period in my case, if that makes sense? I used OPKs right away, and I ovulated on Day 14.

It depends on what kind of pill you were on. When I quit Yasmin, I didn't notice a difference - my face broke out, but that was the extent of it. When I quit the minipill, my body didn't miss a beat. 28 days later, my period arrived and I ovulated like normal.

When I went off both times, I felt WONDERFUL. My cycles were completely normal. I think it just really depends on your body.

I was on for 10+ years as well. We wanted to TTC right away but knew it would probably take some time. My first cycle was 28 days and I got pregnant right after that. They based my due date on my LMP, but DS measured a week off on the 8 week ultrasound, so they changed my date. I suspect that my second cycle was longer/ovulated later than I thought.

When I went off Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo two years ago (after being on it for about 9 years), my cycle was pretty regular right away. I don't think I really had any odd side effects, either.

I got off the pill maybe 8 or 9 months ago? My first couple of cycles stayed totally normal at 28 days, and I had a bit of acne, but nothing major - no other side effects. After that my cycles slowly got longer and longer, until I had one recently that was more than 50 days. Following that, I had one that was 19. We shall see what this cycle brings, but I'm not enjoying the irregularity, that's for sure! I miss my 28 day cycle.

Like @septca, I also started charting right away. It wouldn't be a bad idea if you're wanting to try in June. Sometimes it helps to identify the patterns first.

I ended up having some issues a few cycles in and they kept getting long, but it was because BCP were hiding the fact that I had PCOS. Charting helped my doctors be able to identify why my cycles were longer and that I wasn't ovulating and we ended up with a super quick diagnosis and treatment right away (like 3 cycles after quitting the pill)
