I have baby fever for #2 and I'm not pregnant with #1 yet!! I love siblings that are close together.
Sounds like someone needs to ring your bell...

My friend just had her second baby yesterday, we're going to visit them today in the hospital..... I can't wait to hold a teeny tiny baby again! I just have to tell myself that it will be worth it to wait. I will hopefully lose some of this weight and it will be healthier for both me and the baby.

I don't necessarily have the fever yet but I'm for sure developing the symptoms!
I've been thinking about when we would start trying for #2 but the chaos and exhaustion from having just one LO is enough to bring me back down to earth

I can't wait to give her a sibling, but we're going to wait a little while longer still. But with her growing so quickly, I often think of the snuggly newborn!

I started having baby fever when DS turned 1 but we held off until now. He will turn 4 a month after LO #2 is born. I'm already daydreaming about #3 and we will try alot sooner for #3 then we did for #2.

I have Baby #2 fever bad!!! LO is 7 months old.
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
We were talking about #2 literally 5 minutes after Lo was born! Hahah didn't start seriously thinking about it until I was 7 months pp.. That's when I got my period back!
Seeing newborns makes me want a 3rd!

My LO is only three months old and I want another one already! I would seriously do it all over again, right now!!!

I think I am the only one that doesnt have baby fever already. LO will be 4 months in 10 days. For me its still early, I'm still trying to adjust to her in daycare and all that...

I have super baby fever and have for a couple months. DH getting deployed early next year and I want to start trying as soon as he gets back! C will be such a good big sister, I know it!
DH said he wouldn't mind having another one now except he doesn't want to deal with pregnant me again! lol
pomegranate / 3388 posts
Ha! I am so the opposite. I DO NOT have baby fever for #2. I am 99% certain that we *will* try for a second child in the future, but I'm doing just fine with one baby for the time being. I have zero interest in being pregnant again any time soon, and I totally have my hands full with baby #1 and my new job. I think we'll probably try again in another 3-4 years. That will make a larger age gap between our two kids that I had originally hoped for, but work and other circumstances make it ideal for us to wait a while for our next child.

@skibobrown: I'm like you! LO is 3 months old and I just can't imagine when I'll be ready to face the pregnancy/newborn stage again. It's such a huge adjustment! Because I'm 31 now (and want to have my babies under the age of 35 if possible), while I was pregnant I figured I would try for baby #2 when baby #1 reached 1 year old. Now... I'm not so sure! I'm thinking more like we'll start trying when LO is 2 years old. For one thing, I would like to live closer to my family before that happens as I know realize how important it is to have an extensive network of support.

@Mrsdaredevil: @chopsuey119: haha same here. But we're doing the responsible thing and waiting! Just don't have the time or money for #2 now. The plan is to wait till M is 1. Let's see how well that works out!

i didn't have baby fever when we conceived olive, and charlie was 13 months at the time. i just wanted them 2 years apart!

I had baby fever when LO #1 was 5 months and then it went away and came back when he turned 2. It didn't go away! I got pregnant when he was 2 1/2. I have to admit, it was so hard to be super pregnant and chase a toddler around!

By 2 weeks, DH said we are not "one and done"
I'm getting there... but seeing all these adorable tiny babies out I often sadly think "my LO was never that small," and that keeps the fever at bay.
I don't want another gigantic baby.

i think i had more happy news fever! i wanted to get the rush of excitement when you see a positive test, but not really ready to deal with a newborn when i have 5 month year old on my hands!

12 weeks post Partum and am nowhere near having baby fever for number 2! We will wait til T is at least 1 before trying for no 2....the whole 7 weeks on bed rest for T thing is a good deterrent!
pomegranate / 3438 posts
Yup! We already have it planned out when we will try for number two and DS is only 4 months old! But we kind of have a special circumstance, we have to use fertility treatments so we need to have a plan in place. Gotta save up the money!

Not just no, but hell no! We may be one and done. I can't imagine adding another one any time soon. Life is still crazy at 4 months. I would prefer to have a full night's sleep for a couple of years before even the thought of having another.

hahaha come join the club @regberadaisy!!
i started getting baby fever a couple of months before we actually started to ttc with baby #2. i remember feeling the urge when baby HH just turned 1, but i kept going back and forth about whether i wanted 2 under 2.
and also, confession time - i am a huge NUT of a planner - so i thought about what my due date would be if i conceived in certain months, and i really wanted to avoid the winter holidays and baby HH's bday. doesn't help that our wedding anni is also in nov, so that's just too many things going on at once.
very happy with our feb due date!

@Mrs. High Heels: I would totally LOVE a summer baby this time around. But with the way things went the first time around just can't plan it!

me me me!!!!! and Ds is only a month old! he makes us want a million mroe babies. my hubby was thinking about #2 when i was still pregnant, i thought he was crazzzzzzy but now i totally understnad it.
pomegranate / 3980 posts
I got it within the first few months but didn't act upon it until lo was almost 3! Now I have #2 and am already thinking about #3 haha! But, there has to be a 18 month gap in between 2 and 3 because of the c-section! Though realistically I would like to wait two years before ttc again.

Baby rabies really hit me when DD was about 6 months, but we held off TTC until she turned 1. Then, we started planning for #3 when I was still pregnant with #2, lol! I hate being pregnant, but I LOVE babies. I think I'm going to have perpetual baby rabies, even after we're officially done having kids!

@Honeybee: I feel ya, I hated being pregnant, too.
I want LO to have a BFF, but I don't really want to get pregnant and give birth again, lol. So, don't really have baby fever. Though, I did have a dream about being pregnant with a little boy last night.

I had #2 baby fever when Lala was 11-12 months... But it hit like a ton of bricks, like need #2 NOW!
M is 5 months and I'm not sure I'm going to have a fever for #3. Our lives are pretty full and wonderful!
hostess / papaya / 10540 posts
@Mrs. Jacks: I've definitely thrown the idea around with DH, but he would prefer to go that route only if we had trouble trying for a #2.
pomegranate / 3414 posts
I wanted my LOs to be about two years apart so I got baby fever for #2 when DD was about a year old. However DH convinced us to wait to TTC until after we went on a family vacation in October so DD and LO#2 will be almost exactly 2 1/2 years apart (I'm due 9/16, DD was born 4/1). There will be no baby fever for #3, I'm done after two.

@cyndistar3: is 18 months the standard recommendation? I had a C-section!
