I thought it was going to be such a great toy for M to play with but I really don't like it. It's a huge waste of water to refill it almost every day (so it doesn't get all slimy and gross). The underside accumulates spiderwebs daily and for the most part, she ignores it. When she's not ignoring it, she attempts to drink from it. 
Anyone else not a fan of the water table?

@mediagirl: Definitely store it indoors and sell it at the beginning of next summer!!
I hate using ours so it stays empty and covered until we use it, which is probably about twice a month during the summers.

Me! We thought our boys would love it and they just don't. They'll play with it a few minutes and lose interest. I constantly clean it too. I think we'll probably sell it.

I'm not a huge fan at this point, either. My 16 month old isn't really into it, and pretty much just wants to drink from it. Plus it gets so slimy in just a day or two. And ours has spiderwebs all underneath, as well. It's been sitting empty on the back porch for a few weeks now.

Our water table has not lived up to my hopes either! I had to put it away when my DS kept standing on it!! I took that as a sign that he had moved on and we needed to move to the swimming pool instead. I'm definitely selling mine next summer. Oh and it was so much work to keep it from becoming a mosquito breeding ground, ugh. Sorry it didn't work out for you guys!

Glad I read this! I was so sure I would get my LO one next spring, when she'll be turning one, but we have very little outdoor space so maybe I'll skip it.

I hate taking care of ours (ugh, the CONSTANT cleaning), but LO adores it, so looks like we're going to be keeping it

Have you tried using it inside? We put ours on top of a large blanket and fill it with beans or oatmeal. LO loves it. She especially likes when I hide things under the beans and she has to dig them out. But she loves it outside with water too, so maybe this isn't helpful...

Well, I just got one this weekend and DD isn't a fan of it. She actually just wants to climb in it....

@mediagirl: My friend put put pebbles in her son's sand box. So you don't have to worry about the sand getting wet. She after the first week, he stopped trying to eat the pebbles. Would that work?
