@sandy: yes, I meant the show! I LOVE how they've depicted Crosby and Jasmine's lives with a newborn - sleep deprivation, breastfeeding, pumping, trying to bottle feed, ect. Very honest and relatable!
@yin: oops! sorry, should have been more clear! That's great you donate to them though - they definitely provide important services!

I love that show too! Almost as much as I love the movie Parenthood, but not quite. The movie was phenomenal!

@78h2o: I was pumping tonight during the pumping scene. Actually a fairly realistic depiction of the newborn phase (although I'm not done watching it).

Yes! Love, love, love this show. I am so happy that a more difficult (normal!!!) baby is being shown on TV and the ways it's affecting the parents/their relationship/how they handle it is also shown. So many shows have someone give birth and they just gloss right over all of the hard stuff.
Granted, that's what the show is supposed to be all about but they didn't depict any of this part of Christina/Adam's life after having Nora.
My favorite thing though is that the show really demonstrates that there is never a "right" answer. The characters hash out different opinions and possibilities and the decision making process is depicted really well. The hard stuff is hard, the good stuff is really good - that's how life happens and to see it reflected on TV is refreshing.

I need to subscribe to Hulu plus so I can start watching it again. I love Parenthood! Such a good show. I watched the first 2 seasons in like 2 weeks while marathon nursing a newborn DD

I love it too!
@sandy: I can actually never decide if I like them or not. They kind of bother me sometimes because I think they can each be really selfish and I'd be so furious if my spouse treated me that way. But maybe I should just appreciate that they are both real, flawed people!

@lindseykaye: I totally agree. Although with Norah, you did get an idea of how much crazier a house gets with a newborn.
I sense problems are down the road for Julia and Joel. *sad*

@Freckles: That is true! I forgot how messy the house got and now that I'm thinking back they did touch on how a baby changed their family dynamic a lot since there was such a gap in ages for all three of their kids.

ugh i love it so much, too! they added another season on netflix this week and i watched it all in two days (after work). Makes me want a big family! Both my husband and I both have fairly small families, makes me wish i had more people like the bravermans!

I cried again last night. Feel like such a wus but I can't help it. Also I have been worried about the direction they are taking Joel and Julia but felt a tiny bit better by end of episode...
