Since my EDD is in late February, I get to buy one of those ridiculous newborn starfish-shaped snowsuits! Those things are hilarious!
What are the perks of your EDD/season?

Lol! That I don't have to be huge when it's 500 billion degrees outside.

One really fun perk about having a late October EDD was getting a tiny baby Halloween costume! LO was a two week old goldfish.

@Penny Lane: it might be like this summer and not ridiculously hot til February... Fun for me! I'm looking forward to floating like a whale in the in-laws pool, while I wait for LO to arrive.

Those snowsuits are flipping adorable!
My mom wanted to buy a bunch of cute little swimsuits (EDD August 8), but I had to inform her that baby wouldn't be in the swimming pool at a week old.
So, I guess I'm super excited that she'll be at such a fun dress-up age for Halloween and Christmas!

DS was born in December but we live in AZ. We went to Chicago in February and I saw a ton of babies wearing those. It was hilarious and adorable!

My baby was born just a couple days after Thanksgiving. So I got to stuff my pregnant face with Thanksgiving dinner and then spend the first month of my maternity leave sitting on the couch and nursing while watching Hallmark Channel Christmas movies.

I'm due in late March which is kind of a weird month, not super cold, but not really hot yet. Good for me, but maybe not the best in terms of super cute clothes. Hmm, any other March mama's have advice?
I am excited to have a big enough bump to do a cute/funny Halloween costume in October!

@Beehive: I'm going to need to see that picture! I'm planning LO's Halloween costumer, she's due 10/14!
That was going to be my answer- Halloween costumes and outfits!!!

Baby is due next week, so while I get plenty of hot weather while 9 months pregnant, I'm thankful it was cold while I was in the 1st trimester and nauseous all the time-- I think the heat would have bothered me more then than it does now. Also early fall is my very favorite time of the year here and the baby will just be getting big enough to do fun things like apple picking and long walks enjoying the foliage.
@SweetMamaM: I would really love to have access to a pool right now-- floating in a pool would just be AWESOME right now. And you don't have to worry about looking fat in a bathing suit-- you're pregnant! I was the most comfortable on the beach at 8 months pregnant than I have been in like 10 years.

Due in Mid-November, so I'm excited about maternity leave over the holidays!

@Foodnerd81: totally agree! I also think it's been ideal going through this rough first trimester in the winter when everyone is hibernating anyway.

@fussygal both of my other LOs were due in March, one came March 12, the other Feb 22. The best thing about a March baby? Spring forward! I don't remember why, but I was ecstatic about it happening after DD was born. And, I use to live in the North East, it is nice to have something to look forward to in what I thought was the worst month of the year
I'm due Jan 5th, but it will be a c-section, so baby will be born Dec 30th (or so), so the best perk? TAX DEDUCTION!!! hahaha My CPA husband is very happy

@KJPugs: I don't have access to the photos now, but this is what it looked like (except on a tinier and unable-to-sit baby): http://www.fancy.com/things/183832793573234037/Baby-Goldfish-Costume-%7C-Pottery-Barn-Kids
@ElbieKay: WHAT. That is the best thing ever. Soooo amazing.

@Beehive: oh. em. gee. I have GOT to think of something cute for her like this!!! I'm thinking of making her into a little burrito!

@fussygal: Yeah it's hard to determine what the weather will be like. Last year in March it was 9 degrees some of the days, but the year before it was warmer. Not sure how to really shop for that!

@ElbieKay: Ah! My friend did that! And baby's older sister was Ariel. Too cute

I had a Christmas baby and was soo excited for the holidays that year because it meant I was closer to having my baby in my arms. Best present ever!

I think my late March/early April date will *hopefully* let my maternity stretch through to summer vacation

@MamaMoose: Soooooo that sounds awesome and now I want to get pregnant in late February.

@MamaBehr: Hahaha, I'm due December 19th and this is our first and I'm praying the baby isn't overly late and comes before the New Year. Not only would we miss out on a tax deduction, but we would miss out on the out-of-pocket maximum we have been slowly chipping away at! Right now we stand at only paying $1300 for delivery, but it will probably be way less by that time!!
I will say that I feel slightly guilty for having this little guy right in the middle of the holidays. Poor dude will probably have to wait for his birthday parties!

I'm due in January. I'm really excited for a Preggo Halloween costume! (I'm thinking an oven)
I'm really hoping that I'm relatively cute looking for Christmas too. And ya know, be able to travel.

My babe was born August 8th (@redsmarties:!!) and although I was a freaking furnace, I was able to live in dresses, skirts and tanks. I didn't have to invest in maternity sweaters and coats. And I could comfortably shove my swollen feet into flip flops. I would have had to have bought bigger sized shoes and boots, I think, had I been big pregnant over the colder months.
I'm also really excited to have a summer baby (even a late summer one). I'm picturing pool party birthday parties!
