Yes, DH is a good dad. For sure. But sometimes I feel like people, especially our parents' generation, think that he's sooo great just for taking an active role in LO's care. His mom always makes a comment to me when she's here...."Oh he's such a good dad!" I get it that back in the day the men weren't super involved. But I live in 2013 and I expect him to do his fair share. So I don't consider it some great feat when he plays with her or changes a diaper. Seriously. I'm pretty sure he hasn't once folded her laundry. He had to ask me today if we had more wipes when there are 2 more cases up in the closet, the same place they've been for the past 8 months. He didn't do any research into finding a new pediatrician when we moved. When we were getting ready for the zoo the other day he just stood there as I frantically ran around the house getting her diaper bag ready. Sometimes I feel like he has no clue how much goes into taking care of her. And society still just expects me to do most of the work because I'm the mom. And sometimes I get really tired of it.
Okay. Rant over.
