Are you doing family costumes? Or just something for LO? I'm so lost on what to do this year! I was kind of thinking the Flintstones (because we're currently a family of three with a little girl so it seems like a good time to do it) but we're not sure we want to do a family costume. I want something fun!

We always do family costumes. We're going to be Sesame Street characters, because when I started crafting LO loved sesame street. Now she's way more into Mickey so I kind of regret my decision. But..... DH will be Elmo, LO will be Abby, and I will be Cookie Monster (I'll have a big belly so I thought it was appropriate).
Last year we were the Muppets (LO was kermit, I was miss piggy, and DH was beaker) because LO was too young to pick and DH loves the muppets.

Following. I need an idea for R. I need something super easy and comfy for day care and then something for that night. We are going to take her trick or treating to a couple neighbors. Mostly so we can get pictures.

We are probably doing a family costume....old school Star Wars at the request of DH.

We are doing family costume, DH & I are going to be bank robbers (think black and white stripped shirts/black eye mask) and LO is going to be a bag of money (making a canvas dress with a dollar sign and a money head piece)

Lala chose to be "Luke Otterwalker" last year. (hybrid between an otter and Luke skywalker. Truth be told, she looked like an Ewok.
This year she wants to be Lady Mary from Downton Abbey. We'll see what I can pull off!

Yoda, and my husband will be Obi Wan so he can carry him only because I'm going to take advantage of having a belly and be the Death Star

LO has a tulle pumpkin costume that I made for her and she has a bumblebee costume that I bought from T-mom on here! The bee costume will be for daycare and the pumpkin will be for pics/possibly time with the grandparents.

D is going to be Rocky. Grey sweatsuit, black beanie, and black Chucks. Hubs loves Rocky.

We have a nursery school party where I think L will be Dora and then for trick-or-treating she will be George and DH will be the Man in the Yellow Hat. I haven't figured out who I will be yet!

I have no idea, but I really like the Muppets costume @artbee:! I've probably sang "The Rainbow Connection" to LO a thousand times, and that's not an exaggeration...at least once a day, most days 2-3-4 times...

I was recently thinking baby tinkerbell. But I don't really want to Wendy, and no way on earth is DH going to be Peter Pan!!! Maybe I could be Peter Pan and DH could be Captain Hook...

we want to do a family costume, but coming up blank. i like to think i'm funny, but seriously, i'm at a loss.
ETA: our current idea is for her to be Gus Chiggins aka "the old prospector" from best of Will Ferrell. i go back and forth with picking something cute for a girl and dressing her however we want because she doesn't have a say yet!

We do family costumes:
Year 0: Mommy - Sexy nun, Daddy- Priest, Baby - Little Devil
Year 1: Mommy - Princess Leia from ROTJ, Daddy - Han Solo, Baby - Ewok
Year 2 (this year): Mommy - Betty, Daddy - Barney, Baby - Bam BamMy sister also does family theme. She has done Toy Story, Wizard of Oz, and Dora and Diego just the ones I remember off the top of my head.

DH and I were always big on homemade, couple costumes, and would like to continue the traditional with our little gal. DD will be about three months on Halloween, and we were thinking about dressing her up as an ice cream cone, and being old fashioned parlor workers, ourselves. I was thinking aprons and paper hats for the both of us, and a fancy bow tie for DH, but I'm not sure what I should wear, myself. Ideas?
